Ranked Reroll

So I got placed into silver V in my placements the other day and this whole reroll thing with ranked happened where you had to play one more game to get placed again. Now keep in mind before the reroll I had won 8 of my placements and lost 2. So I play my last ranked game and I won it. So I now have won 9 placements out of the 11 I had to play. So the end game screen comes up and I get placed in BRONZE 5????? Wtf is up with that busted shit??? How do you go from silver V to Bronze V after WINNING and extra game??

It would be nice if we had an explanation of exactly how the new system is suppose to work. All I hear is conjecture from the board "experts" with their droll memes.

Is it an entirely new system that doesn't take into account last years dynamic? And that's why everyone is playing everyone? Is the "reset in 21 days" that I keep reading about going to be soft or hard? And what exactly is the difference? Seems to be differing opinions on what gets reset.

Any way you look at it...the current state (after the 1-game fix) seems as messed up as before.
