I came... so hard. CertainlyT you are favorite champion designer, I can't wait to see what you do with Warwick.

Oh, Jesus Christ.

WW now has: -3 slows -a dash -a blink -a global ult -is resourceless -three hit mechanic -triple passive -two shields -transforms -has a modified AA -has a revive on cooldown ability -a minigame

I can't wait.

N00B PWN3R2 votes

3 hit mechanic? You are confusing him with Gypsylord.

BastionKross1 votes

Don't forget how WW is now built and balanced to be played as a melee bot lane carry, and has a passive that gives him bonuses for being in a duo lane that he can't use as a support.

BastionKross5 votes

As someone who played Morde before CerT got his hands on him, I'm not too happy with his work. People cite Cait and Graves as successes, but Cait's changes were fairly tame comparatively and Graves became a menace for quite a while before the live balance team managed to wrangle him down to sane levels of power. Even now he's still a very strong champ, just not completely broken like before. And lets not forget that CerT's champion designs are generally overloaded or possess mechanics that, while new and interesting, can be horrible to play against.

With that in mind, let's look at Warwicks Q now:

Active: Warwick swipes at the target enemy, dealing magic damage and healing himself for 80% of the damage dealt. Against enemy champions, Hungering Strike's base damage changes to a percentage of its target's maximum health if it's higher than the flat damage.

A fairly straightforward, easy to understand ability. Simple, yet effective. Now let's give it a CertainlyT upgrade:

Passive: Warwick's auto attacks on enemy champions reduce the cooldown of this ability by one second. If an enemy champion is below 32.7% of their maximum health, this ability does true damage. Any unit swiped will gain the Scent debuff for five seconds.

Scent allows Warwick to move quicker in the direction of a unit affected by the debuff. His base movement speed is increased 150% + 1% every 30 AD + 1.28% every 90 AP as long as he is moving toward a target affected with scent. Warwick and his allies will have true vision of the unit with the debuff for the duration.

Active: Warwick swipes at the target enemy, dealing magic damage and healing himself for 80% of the damage dealt. Unless it's Tuesday, then the percentage is increased to 130%. Against enemy champions, Hungering Strike's base damage changes to a percentage of its target's maximum health in addition to the flat damage. If the enemy champion is using a skin, the target will also take 48/49/50/51/72 + 144% base AD physical damage for four and a half seconds as a bleed effect.

If a bleeding enemy is attacked by an ally, Warwick can re-activate this ability to leap to the target, gaining a permanent 1% bonus to his attack speed as he does so. If a target is leaped on, they are stunned, rooted, and silenced for 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds. If the player playing Warwick hasn't eaten for eight hours, the duration is increased to 5 seconds.

If an enemy champion is killed by this ability, the mana cost is completely refunded. If an enemy champion is not killed by this ability, only half the cost is refunded instead.

"unless it's tuesday"

lmfao, they should make a champion that has its abilities changed based on which day it is, that would be fun.

Mordekaiser

full kit rework = new abilities, not old abilities somewhat modified.

when champions get reworked they keep the soul of the champion while adjusting them to fit in better with the rest of the champion pool and fixing the problems in their kit. fiora kept her lung, parry, and E(cant remember name) after her full rework. Morde kept his kit, but all of his abilities recieved significant changes and he was given a major passive change. No rework gets more full than the one morde got.

I feel the same way, Warwick was my first main (I started playing during the preseason 5) and I also got my first pentakill with him, but I had to stop playing him because he is so boring and has such a low impact on his damage (right click, press q and w and hope for the best). CertainlyT is also one of my favorite champion designers, I just love playing (against) his champs.

If by flipping a coin, you mean everything he's released has been toxic and disgustingly powerful, and has had to have been nerfed into uselessness or being incredibly weak, then yes. It's exactly like flipping a coin. Heads is all of those champions, tails is thresh.

Well I was being generous if you get my drift, but we might as well open a box of salt and pouring all over his exposed nuts after we deliver a kick downunder with a spiked boot. any way the fucker ruined mordekaiser and he was my boy.

3TWarrior1 votes

actually, mordekaiser works as a tank now...he's nowhere near the old mordekaiser, but now he isn't a lane bully (when not bottom lane) and instead is an almost unkillable tank

get 3-4000 hp and you have high base damage and a shield that replenishes every few seconds

Ralanr3 votes

Tanky=/=tank.

Meep Man2 votes

I like CertainlyT's reworks. Caitlyn and Graves were pretty decent reworks. Graves is a little OP, but thats not design really, just really overtuned numbers for the most part. I don't like his champion designs overall though. I like they push the boundaries of the game, but sometimes he kind of pushes them to make some strange hump in the boundaries without breaking them, making some strange champion that feels like it's not designed for League but yet still is.

Anyways, I hope Warwick kind of "transforms" more and more into his inner beast over the course of a match with his rework. Start off pretty human and wolfish (like he is now) and slowly become more and more of a bloody, blood hungry wolf that becomes the apex hunter.

Knight SoIaire 2 votes

because certainlyT doesnt design jack ****

he just thinks of cool ideas and forces them onto champions whether they fit the gameplay or not

his ideas are indeed cool ... but i htink that we should get an actual game dev to implement them on kits

Meep Man1 votes

Cait and Graves were pretty decent changes. Mordekaiser was pretty bad, I admit, but the ADC reworks were pretty good. Hopefully he knows to keep WW's identity/enhance it.

3TWarrior1 votes

well actually, the problem with graves is the versatility of his kit. Actually, I like it when a champ can play any role effectively, but it's a little odd to only have a few champs that can do so as riot "slowly" updates

graves can function in jungle because each of his auto attacks repel their target, including the large monsters and their hitzone is large enough that he is hitting for roughly 160% of his AD per shot

Vekkna2 votes

Great. So WW will trade his suppression for 355 MS, 2 dashes, a blink, a shield, 2 burst heals, 2 stuns, a 90% slow, 100 free AD, 30% hybrid pen, and %max hp true damage.

And then we'll all get to complain about it for 3 years while Riot tries to convince us it's balanced and the new Freelo WW players tell everyone else to build a Zhonya's and git gud.

N00B PWN3R1 votes

I'm ok with this tbh :3

Vekkna1 votes

Yasuo I totally believe you, tbh.

3TWarrior1 votes

yasuo is actually one fo the more balanced champions (excluding his crit passive...) it's just that the game is half-priced for him and he is EXTREMELY annoying to play against

the horrible part is that unlike most champions, you have to play against the champion and not the player

Vekkna1 votes

Compare the power budget, cooldowns, and effectiveness of windwall vs any spell shield. Neither you nor anyone will convince me that shit is balanced.

The Whamboozler1 votes

^ This guy is my spirit brother. I've been saying this since his release. Yasuo is broken because he just plain has more GOLD than you. He gets free stats out the butt, has no mana and windwall alone would be a game-changing ability on the support champ it was clearly meant for. His gold just goes farther than yours and it makes him the worst kind of strong... the kind that beats you because he has more numbers.

3TWarrior1 votes

unfortunately, if that is true, mordekaiser will be nerfed again soon because of his ability to tank

he has no crowd control, but he has a very strong shield that replenishes every few seconds (faster than yasuo), has decent base damage and his combo is simple

4000 hp = 1000 hp shield and 15% per champ hit

as for me, yasuo's passive is his biggest issue(which is what you said mostly) but his more pressing issue is not that his kit is imbalanced but that he makes a lane hell for his opponent

this is why mordekaiser was reworked...why not yasuo XD

Valexfor2 votes

Only thing is: I kinda like WW not for his kit (I mean, the only cool thing is the e, even though it's cool enough by itself) I just hope he will expand more on the "beast" within him. Also I wouldn't want his E and passive to be totally removed, I like them and WW wouldn't feel the same withouth them. But I trust in riot's work, I mean, they might not be balanced, but all the champs he worked on can be incredibly fun to play (frustrating for the enemy, but fun to play for sure).

Kaeblen1 votes

his E is what really defines him in my eyes. it's the only truly unique thing he has, and I'd hate to see it go. (the lifesteal thing is defining too, but there are many ways to do that.)

Valexfor1 votes

Yeah, his E is the most unique skill in the kit (and is one of the coolest ones in league), but I kinda like his passive, It's nothing particularly strong nor weak, it's not flashy or anything, it's just that I fell in love with ww since the day I started playing the game. Obviously I wouldn't mind it beying merged into something else in the kit but I would like that strong sustain to remain a core strenght of his, I mean it's his selling point and it's really one of the best things about him for both new players and long time -ww- veterans.

SnugglePuggle942 votes

Ew. CertainlyT is my most hated designer. I hope he doesn't ruin WW or make him too absurd with every ability in the game. I for one wish CertainlyT would be fired from League.

The JigSAW1 votes

When somebody is being reworked by any of these guys lately I'm extremely hesitant to believe it can end positively. The only update for the mages so far I have a positive opinion on is Vlad. The rest, I have no faith. Hell, look at how Shen is these days! GP's been nerfed to the point of near impracticality, very few of us can use him well because of all the changes, and most of the people I play with are concerned that things are going to keep going in the wrong direction.

With that said, I look forward to the WW rework since it'll likely destroy his win rate significantly, and he's annoying.

Ralanr1 votes

Shen's rework wasn't bad. He's a lot more interactive (though his combo can get a bit lack luster at times, it's less lackluster than the sword throw spam).

The barrel nerfs do hurt GP. I'm having trouble picking him up and I have mastery rank 5 with his rework. I'm not used to carries though. Honestly if I take a long enough break then I can relearn him.

Vistha Kai1 votes

Shen's Sion-tier of interactive.

Worse actually.

Ralanr1 votes

Sion level interaction?

Please explain.

Vistha Kai1 votes

In other words, he's so "interactive" for the enemy team, he outplays himself.

Ralanr1 votes

...I don't understand how you see this with Shen.

Vistha Kai2 votes

He has stupidly high energy costs, exactly just as much regen as every other energy champion, two out of his abilities are incredibly clunky to use, but also require a third one to be ever used, has no active way to sustain himself and is entirely restricted to melee.

To name a few.

Ralanr1 votes

He also regains energy for hitting people with his taunt.

And a lot of top laners don't have sustain. You don't need sustain to play in top lane.

Vistha Kai2 votes

He also regains energy for hitting people with his taunt.

He needs to hit exactly 5 people for the taunt to "pay back" in energy.

I actually okay with most of his designs, hes not the one that creates the numbers for the champion, he just designs them (So I think). But either way, the champion might come off OP at first , but thats cause they overload them with ridiculous numbers. But the designs for his champions are pretty cool imo.
