Why does QSS only have an AD option?

I mean stopwatch has variations for AD, AP and tanks so why not QSS?

Stopwatch builds into items for AD and tanks. This doesn't mean that they are variations of Stopwatch, especially in the case of GGSP.

They kind of are tho. GA is literally just Zhonya but you have to die to activate it and it has a longer CD. Same amount of time invul, you do only start with 1/2 your health (unless you have spirit visage) and it's CD can even be reduced if you have Perfect timing rune but it's incredibly similar. Stoneplate is closer than you'd think to the others as it's active increases your max hp to up to double if you have the proc on. So rather than be in stasis you can still do stuff at 60% less damage. I mean they kind of are variations of the same principles of stopwatch. Which is probably why it builds into them. [slayer-jinx-wink]

Because GA is a complete trash of an item compared to zhonya. It gives miserable stats, and has no outplay potential of zhonya. Banshee veil is also not an AD item, and is far better choice than QSS in terms of protection it gives.

banshee is the exact opposite of a better choice compared to QSS as anybody can just pop it with a low CD ability whereas QSS can be used when you really need it to.

Because AP and AD are not the same. Each of them have different items. Imagine if there were 15 AP items and duplicates of them that give AD instead of AP. Game would be boring as hell

Ive been wanting a ap verison of qss and maw (with a physical shield) for years. Or even a Ap verison of item 3814

Honestly if I can have the shield from Edge on Night on Banshees I'd love life. The Banshees passive just gets taken out to easily and then isn't there when you need it.

Banshee's is a terrible passive and does not come close to Edge of Night in usefulness. Also it's the only AP MR option available, and USED to be a tank item where it was actually somewhat useful.

The only reason I can think of not to have an AP item for QSS is because something like that might be a mandatory rush for midlaners in a rough matchup like scepter used to be.

Scepter should come back. At least then you HAD an option for rough matchups. I miss Athene's too. Why do you think mid laners feel like they keep blowing up all the time now? They have more damage options(not as much damage as before though because every AP item has lost AP over the years), but no actual defensive options, unlike every other class in the game. Banshee's and Zhonya's suck now.

I like banshees passive, my only problem with it is it and Malz passive get blown up at the same time in 1 ability. Seems like a stupid interaction to me. I do agree there needs to be an ap QSS though. Zonyas doing break cc and can't be used DURING cc making the comparison pointless. Also you can't sit on a stopwatch using its effects all game until last item like you can with QSS.
