"We need to group up!"

Anyone get tired of hearing this? I mean if the enemy team has mumu+malph then that's probably -why- we're losing. Team fighting isn't the only way to win. I get a lot of teams that think they can win by picking a bunch of assassins or split pushers and then trying to team fight.

Grouping up is a hell of a lot better than split push all day in Yolo Q. Split pushing requires organization that Yolo Q doesn't have most of the time. And we get dick head players that want to split push even though all they do is get caught out and die while blaming the team for "not taking advantage" of them being caught when there isn't anything to take advantage of. Plus real world example I lost a 4vs5 as the 5 because every lane lost (but mine) and our GP decided he would split push and never group. Except he would literally get solo'd and die to their full tank thresh while split pushing.... I swear gold is the new bronze.

TL:DR you aren't bjergers zed group up so you quit feeding

Play Leona/Thresh/Malphite/Amumu/Morgana/any AOE CC Diver

Suddenly, your problem has been solved.

Lol but seriously though, I blame the lack of understanding. Now, don't demean anybody just because they don't understand how your/everyone else's champions work, because the vast majority of the players in the game can not possibly hope to understand every single champion and every single one of their strengths based off how fed they are and what they buy and etc. and etc.. To get my point across, a LOT of people think Shen is supposed to team fight just because he is building tanky. It doesn't matter that he has Teleport and Sunfire Cape, it doesn't matter if they've seen Shen's ult maybe multiple times after a certain point of the game, some people still will think he's supposed to hug the team.

My biggest assumption in YoloQ is to simply assume that everybody only knows how to play the champion they are playing. If there's an Amumu on my team, I'm going to assume he's going to dive a lot and blow his ult. If there's an Ezreal on the team, I figure he'll stay just barely out of range and keep flashing out of danger. Even if you can't trust anybody to understand each other perfectly, if you can react to them, it can solve a lot of problems.

The only problem is that in my trash elo, all everyone (including me) knows to do is group up

If you don't group up, the enemy will 5v3 your team and you will lose.

At least in a 5v5 you have a chance.
