Gangplank counter Lissandra in a way

Seems like whenever i pick gp into lissandra i absoulty rekt her in lane and in the game and proceed to faceroll her lol.....is it that if i time my w right i can remove all her cc and kill her while her stuff on cd? either way its interesting thought that a melee top with one non-ult offensive move can counter a cc mage lol
