Malz change ideas
I agree with many people that Malz's rework has turned out to be a complete mess and should ultimately be reworked. However, I do believe that it did have some good ideas and that those ideas should be preserved if he is reverted. The E's duration being refreshed when an enemy is his by the Q or R is a good way to add counterplay to his otherwise uninteractive kit. Another small bit of counterplay that could be added to his original kit is for the W and R to damage to scale up over the duration in exchange for more damage overall. This way old Malz's burst is lessened and opponents can play around his W and R a bit more. Other ideas are that his R periodically summons voidlings over its duration to give more of a the minionmancer feel than before, or maybe that his W pauses the duration of the E while enemies stand in the pool, or that every hit from a voidling adds a bit of time to the E.
