Cause anyone who has any remote form of ranged harass, CC, %HP damage, or mobility beats him?
Garen is a super hard counter for anyone who has to dive in to do damage, but he's useless against anyone who can engage at a distance.

He got picked by pros during 1 game, forgot which region, but he lost. His existence got completely ignored since that's just how bad Garen is. They would literally walk by him as if he just wasn't part of the game and was never afraid of him.
