Am tired of this complain of players blaming a single Ekko for their lost of their game or lane saying his OP. Ok getting the facts right i know his kit is a bit overloaded but have you guys taking a consideration of how to counter him or lane against him ?!!!! , Today i decided to lane mid with yasuo and my opponent was an Ekko. To cut it short, i won my lane against him and notice something very interesting that the key to counter Ekko is to :

  1. Dodge his Q(time rewinding) as much as possible also if you unfortunately got hit by his Q , make sure u avoid its return effect, dont be stupid, dont allow it to stack twice. Since i was playing yasuo i was only not able to dodge his q but also block it cast and return effect.During my laning phase against him i only got hit by his q 3 times.

  2. whenever you see ekko cast his hologram, just know that his about to cast his W, be ready to move dont just stand their like an idiot and get stunned for 2.25 sec blaming the invisibility of his ability, 3 secs is enough for you to decide and its the mid lane , the lane is short you can run much faster to safety.During my laning phase against him i only got stunned once and that was because i was focused on him during a duel, but still he couldnt do shit i was far ahead of him.

  3. lastly stay clear of his chronobreak, yes that ghostly clone of his !!! , most ekko players would want to create a trap zone paradox, that is they would want to use their past 4 secs to create a pattern in which it would just create a trap where the enemy might be in the next 4 secs and this is what most Ekko players do during team fights, they are always trying to place their clone in your mist. In team fight make sure your team spread out so that not everyone gets nuked once .If he manage to chronobreak during teamfight , focus him and kill him, his squishy , ekko is most vulnerable without his ult.

I have no problem with Ekko other than his ult having too much damage for the utility it brings.

And yeah, if you get hit by his Q twice it means you are either stunned or dumb.

No doubt, I play assassins, a lot of assassins, so I may be a bit biased, but there's very easy counter play to each assassin.

I'm not going to be naive and say that Ekko isn't pretty high on the power scale, he's a monster and I love it, but as he's around a bit longer people will understand how to deal with him.

Things like not giving up passive stacks for free, actually build MR instead of complaining about having to change your build path adapting to the game is how you win, actually ward/ping when he goes MIA like you would with all assassins.

Thank you for making this post so I don't have to.

One of the main problems with Ekko's w is if you start the cast in a bush, you dont see the hologram and the delay is effectively only 0.75 seconds in the opp team's eyes which means you could just pull a flashstun nocounterplay like how I used to play my veigar cast wall on top of them
