One Sided Games

As an ADC, I'm pretty much relying on my supp to help me win lane (and I often get idiots). Some of them can be GREAT, and I mean absolutely skilled and kind. And others flame. But the point is, nowadays games of League are so one sided. It's litterally you win hard or you lose hard. There is no in between. Well okay maybe, but in low elo, it's like that. Which comes to my next point, I don't remember if this was ever a thing when I joined league, but I'm pretty sure there was this command "/equalize". I think it gave gold to the losing team so they could catch up and not be so behind to spice the game up a little bit. Did Riot remove this? Or is it some secret command no one remembers?
