Questions from a New-ish player

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new here. I was wondering if anyone could offer some general advice on how to generally improve my gaming experience with champs like Jinx and Soraka.

I've read a few guides on both champs, experimented with their roles and even attempted going "outside the box" with playing them and always tend to have mixed results (more bad than good).

Now, I know that I have read a great deal of mockery with people wanting to do a build focusing on champs like jinx doing jungle roles, but out of curiosity, and bias aside, or statements like "the best way is to not do it." Can anyone help me with understanding fundamentals on building up for something like that?

In my normal games, I have an item set I generally try to run (legitimate ADC, non jungle antics), and due to my inexperience, I never know what items to build in any "best sequence". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am aware that Jinx generally enjoys running items like Infinity Edge, or Runaan's Hurricane, but I still find myself confused with the order of my item builds and would like to know how to improve that, or how to properly focus on prioritizing.

As for Soraka, I seem to have a decent build, but my question is more along the lines of, what is generally the most effective skill leveling order? I typically go for my CC, then Heal, and finally my standard Damage/Self-Heal and aim to master my CC first. Am I doing this right, or should I be doing something different?

Anyways, thanks everyone, I do appreciate any advice, and apologize if this is long-winded, or seems a bit "dumb".

probuilds.net is perfect for any builds. You dont need specifics just use the runes/masteries and builds from any pro players on their and its good enough for you atm! they show build over and everything. JInx might be hard to work on since shes not the easies champ like a caitlyn or a lucian. But in general you just need to work on farming, spacing, and damage outputs. It pretty much takes you more games because you are not just lacking at the champion at the game as well. Work on those 3 things and your jinx game will naturally rise. For soraka its all about positioning. Just position so you can q without dying and just keep heal bottng people :D gl.

TBH Jinx is actually a very hard adc to play, micro managing your cs and your ult predictions... to start, max your ult, then w, then q, then e

but on her, i would build Infinity Edge first or second, Runnan's hurricane, shiv or rapid fire cannon and maybe a mercurial scmitar...

I dont play Jinx too much, but i play alot of vayne and she is very different so yes thats my advice on ADC in general...

Now for Soraka... i feel like you would want to go w first. Ult, w, e, q.

You never use your q ever, and you start w , e , then q.

The only time u use q is for damage or for wave clearing.

W u can cast on enemy to heal adc alot so thats good... overall Soraka is very good and forgiving support.

Hi there. I'm a player that's pretty new too. What I've learned is that the way you build items or max abilities has a lot to do with where you are in the game, where you plan to go, enemy team comp., etc.

For example, with Jinx I usually start with infinity edge first and then move on to a second item. Sometimes I delay that item to get something else that's more fitting (like boots if you're seeing that you're going to need to dodge a lot of abilities or run a bit quicker). Not every lane or game will yield the same exact build. I also don't build runaans on jinx because I prefer the passive that other AS items give her.

With soraka I like to start with w and then get q because of the healing it does to you. I don't usually go with E second because of the cost of mana. There have been a couple of games where I'm forced to get E because I feel like the enemy team could dive turret and a silence would be the best way to defend/get a kill.

So basically, when maxing abilities and thinking about builds, always think about the factors affecting you. Don't just get an item because a guide says so.
