Why is Blue Essence so BAD and How Can it be FIXED?
Hello, I'm Rynojos, and I just got to level 48. So, I happily went to open my Level Capsule (Since I LOVE opening capsules and chests in LoL).
To my dismay, I open this from the capsule:
- Olaf (Worth 630 BE)
- Sivir (Worth 90 BE)
- 90 BE
This totals out to be ~810 BE. And I'm thinking "What? This is horrible." It really is. I was very upset and it compelled me to post this thread. ~~I played maybe 30 total games to get to this point, and I won 3 daily win games. ~~
So, with the revamped BE system, I basically got 960 BE (has +150 BE from 3 daily wins) from ~30 games.
If this were the old system, I could have gotten 450 IP from the 3 wins in 3 days and with those wins, I likely could have gotten another 100 IP from each win.
If all 30 games were taken into account, with the average IP gained per game being a generously low 70 IP plus the 250 IP from the 3 daily wins, the total IP gained will be ~2640 IP. This is very different from what we will get in the new system. In the old system, I would have gotten 275% MORE currency to finish my champ collection than I do in the new system. There are many ways to FIX this problem that many people are outraged with. Some include:

Buffing Level Capsules: If the Level Capsules were to be buffed, this problem may go away. The skins can be given at earlier levels or the capsules can be more complex. I personally think the capsules can have a choice aspect, like if someone wants more BE, they can do an option to collect more champ shards, but if someone wants more OE, then they can do an option for skin shards or emotes (lower priced skin shards with low chances for expensive skins). This can also fix the OE problem, since many people are unable to get too much OE. Or, the capsules can be buffed all together, to yield even more blue essence. Yes, I know the champ shards inside the capsules can give champ shards at a discounted price, but some people don't want those specific champs and would rather save their blue essence for a 6300 BE champion.

Making Games Won Yield More Profits: I feel there should be an added bonus to winning games. I feel each game won can give something like 10-50 BE so people can get more BE from winning games. Once, I wanted a new champ. I specifically wanted Rengar. So, I leveled up, hoping I would get enough BE to get him. Sure enough, I was 7 BE short (not even exaggerating, I was actually 7 BE short). I was very upset. By having this system where winning games can yield some BE, it can be possible to gain the required 7 BE from a few wins rather than another 30 wins and some people may try harder in all of their games, and Intentional Feeding can also be ended.

Adding More MISSIONS: I, for one, absolutely LOVE missions. I am the one person who buys mission lines with RP because I LOVE them. If there are more missions to do. These missions can be either daily or can be missions that are added each day, or they can be anything. As long as they can provide the player with more BE, it is fine. The missions can be something like "Deal 20k Damage to Champions in One Game" to win 100 BE or "Have a total kill participation of 20 in a Game in Three Games" to win 125 BE, or anything to get more BE. Missions have endless possibilities and are used for only the daily win bonus, which doesn't even need to use the mission tab. If more missions are added, also, people will have more of a drive to play (and in the long run, will give Riot more profits).
So, I feel the systems to gain more Blue Essence that I listed above should be utilized to give the players a more enjoyable experience in the League client and more opportunity for gaining new champions and more Blue Essence overall. **- TL;DR: I feel a change needs to be made to either buff the Level Capsules to yield more value, make the games won yield more profits in the aspect of blue essence, or more missions can be added to provide more BE. Both the player and Riot benefit from these changes that I listed above.

EDIT: I am recalculating the number of matches it took me to level up from level 47 to level 48 by using my match history. It takes 3456 xp to go from level 47 to level 48. Now that I am looking at my match history, some of the games don't show how much xp I gained from them. None of my Zoe matches show how much xp I gained, so I will try to calculate the amount I earned to get the final number of matches I played to level up. I played 14 total games with 3 of the wins being daily wins.
So, with this calculation, I still gained 810 BE from the 14 games. With the old system, from the daily wins, you earn 150 IP, plus the approx. 100 IP gained from the game won, and we will estimate from the norms games I get 70 IP (average) and from ARURF games I get 60 IP (average), then I won 3 games, yielding approx. 450 IP plus the 100 IP per match won, making the total be 750 IP. Looking at my match history, of the 14 games I played, 6 of the games were norms (that weren't the daily win), while the other 5 were ARURF (also excluding the daily win). The 3 matches I excluded were games won with the daily win. So, 70 x 6 = 420 and 60 x 5 = 300. All together, the values earned from the 14 games equal 420 + 300 + 750 = 1470. This is more than the 810 BE that we get in this new system.
Yes, I know my argument is based off one level up, but with other levels, the highest I've gotten from one level capsule is one 6300 BE champ, which can be dusted into 1260 BE, which is still less than this amount gained.
