Ah Taric , you used to be such a powerful champion in the metagame until Thresh came along, now it seems like Riot hates you. Anyways as the title suggests I think the first change that could make Taric a strong pick would be higher AP ratios. Not on Q of course, but his E and his ult for how low the base damage is on them, could use a boost. My suggestion would be to keep the 20% minimum AP ratio on his E, but upgrade his max damage ratio to 75%. This would not only increase the stun's overall damage, it would also help people learn Taric's role as a frontline tank champion who stuns for the team. While I love his ult and how it can potentially increase the entire team's AD and AP by 35 at level 16, would it really hurt to make this ult HURT as well as provide that extra utility? If the base damage stays the same a 100% AP Boost would finally give people a reason to use this champion. However if it got a boost in the base damage and probably the steroid too, I'd like to see a 55% AP ratio that gives damage equal to 5% of his AP as well as the boost.

  1. I'm sure these changes would bring Taric into the S5 metagame a little bit, but if you have to resort to giving Taric a dash on his W so he actually hits things with it I'd be ok with that as well Taric Taric Taric

It wasn't just the metagame, sometime last season they nerfed him hard, they made his heal really useless at rank 1, and really expensive at high ranks, weakened his armor share on his W AND made the shred weaker, lowered the burst on his ult by quite a bit and upped the cooldown, and the change to his passive made him more utility driven, but lowered his damage. I forget if anything happened to his stun.

He was my main man till that hit him, then he sadly became just another "anything you can do, someone does better" support.

He doesn't need AP ratio's at all

His heal scales off his HP His damage scales off his Armor

Just buff his Armor Ratios

I'm pretty sure he's really famous for his high natural Armor gains, and the fact he can share it with his teammates. I don't really care about the E Ap ratio. All I know is that it is thee easiest stun to land, and potentially strong when you're near to the target's face in teamfights.

AP Taric used to be a thing, iirc. It was like a somewhat less cancerous version of old AP Sion, except AP Sion wasn't healing allies as well as giving very powerful auras.
