I am not here to show you how much percentage of Sodium Chloride i have in me and i am not gonna say i have Diamond mechanics xD For 3 seasons i've been placed in Bronze 5 no matter how good i was in my placements the most dissapointing of the seasons was season 7... 9/2 got placed in Bronze 5. I was embarrassed to tell it to my friends because of that. Don't get me wrong about my season 7 experience i was rly doing good in those placements. Playing Thresh support or Mordekaiser top in the majority i rly did do a decent job. I talked with my buds and they told me that my MMR is low. This season i am unranked and i am afraid to take bronze 5 again. In my normal games my teammates are always toxic and never use SS or even help. And i was wondering... How can i raise my MMR?

Don't play support at low elo, just don't. Support is honestly one of the most important roles in the game, it is a support not an ADC that will decide how bot lane flows, their wards, their cc, their protection to keep allies alive is integral to a game.

HOWEVER, at low elo, where players don't know what they are doing ESPECIALLY at Bronze 5, you can't trust them to follow up on your plays. You have likely done things like hook the ADC, flay both of them, then box and do a third of so of their life, as your carry does absolutely nothing right? Exactly my point, you can't trust people down there. It is a team game, but supports and I mean ACTUAL supports like Thresh can't solo carry.

Stick with carry roles, at Bronze 5, anything and all things are viable, snowball, abuse your advantage, take over the game.

Not entirely true.

Unfortunately, sometimes the problem may lie with the adc as well - especially as the game currently stands. Botlane is a four person show and with the current state of the game being as messed up as it is, the botlane carry shoulders the weight for the outcome of the game just as much as the support. For instance, if the support does one action (say roaming to ward or chooses to engage on an out of position champion) and the adc does not understand why, overreacts or even does nothing, that could be just as decisive - potentially costing the game in the first 10 minutes. Further, with the support now waiting sometimes up to 20 minutes to get wards, if the botlane carry is inept at farming (often due to bad champion choice and/or a botlane fiesta) then it could be easily be "gg at 20" before the support can actually do anything.

Well yeah, that goes without saying, I'm more so saying that it isn't worth the work to not be able to carry.

EUNE Bronze 5?! lol jeez dude. Supporting in bronze to climb is useless unless you play a carry like Brand. Also Mord is a shit champ. dont play him if you wanna climb. Just one trick Xin jungle and climb dude. Or talon mid, or irelia top, or graves jg. Getting out of Bronze is easy.

I sympathize with the original poster. But support is not as bad as many people think.

The trick is to focus on a few simple champs, learn their mechanics and more importantly, learn how the game actually works. Mordekaiser is not as bad as many people think - but he is not a great starter champion. Pick something like Annie, Morgana, Sona, Nautilus or Brand. Work on learning how they work. And just work on the simple things - in particular, try to die less, be involved in team fights where possible and ward.

Of course, Webstar, I suppose he could always start a new account, go even in placements and luckily end up in Silver 4 or 5. But how many of us have done that? [slayer-jinx-wink]

LOL Literally this account. Trying to get placements in gold but lost the last 5 placement mostly because of shit players. Literally i had all the kills on my team 3 of those games. Feels bad man. I got S4 i think.

This account? It's my messing around and experimentation account.

Some reasons to do bots:

One: Relaxation. No pressure. Chill. (Less tilters generally too. But you do get them.) Two: Practice.
Three: Blue essence and xp - practice mode doesn't give that. Plus easy daily.
Four: They are short. Five: It is one of the few modes designed for practice where you work with others. (The dummies in practice mode don't tend to die or need healing if you want support practice.) Six: Experimentation. A good place to try out some new ideas that you can carry over onto your main account. I can generate numbers and data from the things I try in bots.

cool....i mostly just try new things in norms after a quick run down in practice tool though. I also play a lot of ARAM's so thats my relaxation haha

Understandable and I get where you are coming from. I've been doing a bit more ARAMs on my main, too - it's not very much fun playing the Rift atm with the game in its current terrible state (especially when you are support main and adc secondary).

Well i think it is great for supports just not adc's. Play Brand, Pyke, Thresh, or something crazy like Renek support with a Irelia, Camile, Mord, or even an APC like Brand, Swain, or Galio an just run through bot laners lol you do need a duo for this stuff though

Morde being shit doesnt matter, he still made me peak in Plat 2

For some people who are not as good as plat players yes it does. For example.....Pants are Dragon is a good player, but not a great player. He is in Challenger instead of Diamond because he is a meta slave. Also....playing a champ that is weak in the 30-45min mark is very bad for Bronze play....

Pants was to be in scouting grounds but he didnt make it because he said a certain word on stream. I aint a fanboy of him but he was rank 1 jgl multible times last season. Also his macro play is one of the best I have ever seen, but you stay true to your statement if you mean his mechanics ( which seriuosly don't really matter as macro play is more powerful)

Yea i like watching pants. His macro is great. I was talking about his micro. Like his mid laning is sub par for a diamond player even. Thats why he plays support and jungle mostly ONLY top 3 champs in the position.

If you are going to play support at that low, I think you should go with someone like Morgana, Brand, or Zyra and just build AP. Stick with your team and help them blow stuff up.

For top, pick champs who can split push. Your team could be doing terrible, but if you are able to get a split push off, it doesn't matter too much.

Pick anything that can split push, bronze has an issue with objective control. Dont really need mechanics to climb. If your mechanics are bad play something simple. I do not think i am good at all at the game but objective focus is what wins me the game most of the time.

Don't die and learn to farm and push objectives and bronze is fairly easy to leave. Funny thing is if you can make it out of bronze 1 you can prolly make it to gold.
