So I tested 3 builds for Aatrox on the practice tool....

All calculated on the Practice Tool, no elixir used

Regular Build (Recommended on a popular, updated, highly rated, Guide from mobafire) Cost 18500 Medium difficulty for fighting baron item 3153 item 3047 item 3046 item 3071 item 3143 item 3065 208 Attack damage 190 Armor 114 Magic Resist 1.46 Attack Speed 34% Cooldown Reduction 30% Critical Strike 409 Movement Speed 20% Lifesteal

2.25 AS with hellbent and Ult 1.86 AS with hellbent

Analysis : This build is fairly balanced, great resistances, good lifesteal. Expensive.

Sustain/Lifesteal Aatrox Build (my custom build) = Cost 16000 Easily fight baron item 3153 item 3006 item 3046 item 3065 item 3026 item 3072 288 Attack damage 127 Armor 114 Magic Resist 1.69 Attack Speed 14% Cooldown Reduction 30% Critical Strike 409 Movement Speed 49% Lifesteal

2.27 AS with hellbent and Ult 2.08 AS with hellbent

This build gives Aatrox the most damage, but the least resistances. However, he is rewarded with a high attack speed, and 49% lifesteal.

God Aatrox: (my custom build, I thought it was stronger, but it seems weak) Cost 15500 - Fairly difficult fighting Baron item 3153 item 3047 item 3046 item 3071 item 3026 item 3102 248 Attack damage 70 Ability Power 159 Armor 120 Magic Resist 1.46 Attack Speed 34% Cooldown Reduction 30% Critical Strike 409 Movement speed 15% lifesteal

2.25 AS with hellbent and Ult 1.86 AS with hellbent

You get more damage and magic resist than the Regular build, and it is cheaper. However, you have 5% less lifesteal, and you have some useless AP

Conclusion: I need some help. The Sustain build I custom made seems the best, better than a recommended build. I find it confusing why the guide writer didnt do that build instead. I need help on builds vs heavy ad, or heavy ap.... many people dont build phantom dancer, and some people swap BORTK for Ravenous hydra.

In my opinion it seems the Sustain/Lifesteal build/build #2 is the best. I need your opinions, input, feedback, and suggestions. THX

Please HELP!!!!!!!!!

My build for him is item 3748 item 3124 then full tank. Rage blade proccing his W every other hit gives insane healing so lifesteal isn't needed and it also procs titanic twice every other hit for some good damage.

item 3153 item 3812 item 3065 item 3742 item 3071 then I'd say your choice of boots from the followingitem 3111 item 3047 item 3009 You could also swap Cleaver for item 3074 if there aren't many tanks.

This build gives pretty good sustain as well as tankiness with an ability to fight tanks, as well as chase potential from black cleaver passive and deadman's plate. Basically exactly what you want for a bruiser champion.

You don't want to fall into the sustain build you have as if you're basically dead if you get hit with crowd control.

You don't want to use the "god aatrox" build as for starters banshee's is no good on him, additionally you don't have enough lifesteal to sustain yourself through a fight.

I used to use mobafire myself when I first started, but instead now if I'm looking up builds I'm typically checking either pro builds or op.gg on a couple players who have a lot of games on that specific champion to see what they do. Aatrox is a different beast as the people who play a lot of Aatrox vary their builds from game to game, so there seems to rarely be the same kind of thing built multiple times. The items I see frequently are what I put in my suggested build.

I think the trend I'm seeing though is that when playing Aatrox due to the champion being rather weak in most situations, you have to be extremely adaptable in your builds and can't just default to a singular build path.
