Can I get demoted from GOLD V to silver??
I just finished my placements and ended up in Gold IV, I was just wondering if I can get demoted a division and how.

You can't get demoted until you are in plat
Yes, you get demoted by losing too many games for your MMR
You can get demoted a division relatively easily (lose a few games at gold 4 0LP and you'll most likely fall to gold 5), getting demoted a tier is somewhat harder (as in gold 5 to silver 1).
In order to get demoted from gold 5 to silver 1, you have to drag your mmr all the way down to a silver 5 level, which if you at all belong in gold is fairly unlikely to happen. Getting demoted divisions only requires you to have the mmr of the division you're potentially being demoted to when you lose a game at 0LP.
