The Most Disheartening Thing About Playing League

I can brush off the trolls, rages, and the guys that will blame you, the sky, and anything else for why the game is going bad, but the one thing that really gets to me is stuff like this.

"Taric is trash, you should not play him"

I fine with being called a noob, scurb, bronze v want to be, but when people say that your champion is bad that just really gets to me. I was playing a game as support Taric 3/0/8 at around 15 minutes we were winning pretty well having a blast when I had a teammate say something along those lines to me. We won with a 20ish minute surrender, but that one comment just sort of sapped me out for that game. I don't know maybe it is meant as constructive criticism or something it just gets to me in the end.

Well on to the point of this discussion, what is the most disheartening thing to happen to you in League post for a smiley face.

Taric > Ashe

Ashe is trash. Nobody should play her.

I've been told that about Sona since the day I started playing her and post-rework but now #betternerfSona

Well today I played Azir for the first time fed the enemy Xerath hardcore and got reported for trolling, I'm sure I could think of something worse though.

I love it when people say "Janna sucks" or "Ahri is horrible" (Before they were FoTM) and I end up carrying the game and I'm all like "SAY THAT AGAIN????"

Edit: Downvote wut o.o

Well the most disheartening thing I had happen today was getting reported for winning the lane. But it was so worth it.

I got an early kill on the enemy mid and then our jungler ganked and we got a second kill ~lv 6. She told me how terrible of a player I was and so our jungler decided to set up a tent. Killed her 2 more times and she decided to flame us and told me I was "reported enjoy your ban". Pretty sure she followed through with the threat too considering we hunted her for the rest of the game. She ended 0/11. She was 0/7/0 up until the last quarter of the game. You can't run from a fed LeBlanc with teleport. :)

Really sad the community is so toxic though.

Well the most disheartening thing that happened to me is when I went AD tf, because i hate AP tf, and my whole team flamed me for it even though i won lane. It just gets to me when the team doesn't even give you a chance.

What gets me the most, is when I win my toplane vs. someone who is lik 0/3 and 25 CS ten minutes in. Then he roams. I ping SS, mid/bot doesn't care and he starts getting assists and one and another kill here and there. All of a sudden he's back into the game, áll my efforts become in vain and the enemy wins because they can't handle the now fed opponent.

Myself and everyone I know would rather have a Taric on our team than a Sona. Matter-of-fact, the Sona nerfs have given all of us a better appreciation of how great Taric actually is, now that we've seen a champion who truly embodies "unplayable." Her unplayability has given us a better appreciation of many other champs too: Fiora, Gangplank, Poppy, etcetera. I don't laugh anymore when I hear somebody say that any champion can be playable... with exception to Sona.

Which brings me to my most disheartening moment in League: the July 30th Sona nerfs

When played properly Taric is actually an extremely strong support. He has a strong stun, he's damn near unkillable, and buffs the defense of every friendly champ around him. I don't know why people trash low pick rate champs like Taric, i have won many games because we had a good taric on our team. I used to play Skarner mainly, and I would do quite well with him, specifically because he has so many viable builds (AP tank, AD tank, DPS carry, AP carry, Hybrid Carry). I don't play him much anymore because with the mana regen nerfs he literally spends more time OOM than with mana, but that's another story.

I share the same feeling when my carry turns their nose up at support DrMundo

This is how i feel when i play EveEvelynn .

Showed up for a counter gank top. The Rek'sai and Trydamere got away with little health and my teammate Riven died. She raged and said "this is why people don't play Eve anymore! All you do is spam spikes and do damage."

We ended up winning the game. Riven finished 9-7. I finished 21-8, you're welcome for the carry scrub.

Pandemic Punch1/27/2015, 1:43:30 AM1 votes

Wow! Taric is actually pretty strong right now too.

I would have to say that the raging and blaming gets to me a lot. I will always end up defending myself or a teammate in every single game. Now days I just mute everyone as soon as the game starts.

Getting flamed, yelled at, harassed, cussed at, etc is just water off the duck's back for me. I give everyone a chance to turn their attitude around, but if they just decide that that's how they're going to be, I mute the fool and report them when the game's over.

It doesn't really dishearten me to see my team dying all around me. I play to have fun and to get IP for more runes and champs. If I play several games a day, I know I'll lose some of them because that's just the way it is. People get outplayed, some more so than others.

What I will not tolerate is to see someone else getting yelled at, harassed, insulted, and cussed at. That's my ally for the duration of the game and I have every intention of giving them respect. That's a human being and I won't sit in silence while someone goes out of their way to try making someone else miserable just because they don't like the outcome of a game!

Last night was playing aram and my team pretty much lost from the get go between odd team composition and general bad plays. Anyways the enemy team made it all the way to our nexus, killed all of us, then retreated just to kill us on our push back. Lather, rinse, repeat. Lather, rinse, repeat. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Lather.

Rinse.

Repeat.

Leadpaintchips1/27/2015, 4:40:13 AM1 votes

For me, it's when I go as a jungler who doesn't have kill potential, but a buttload of CC, and all my lanes are losing except when I show up. That sucks, but when you have two people who won't surrender when the game is 7-21, that makes me question why I even play anymore.

Haters will hate when you do bad, and when you do good. Keep that in mind! Just smile, it will make them even more mad haha.
