Bot script use is out of control

The past few weeks, the surge in bot script users has impacted many games. Their pattern is easily identifiable. Yes, I report them, although the report reasons don't have a hacking/cheating option. I have been choosing intentional feeding, since the scripts are so simplistic, they end up doing so. It makes games very lopsided and completely ruins the entertainment we seek out.

Other people here has already brought this up, but I have yet to see Riot officially respond. Essentially, we, your players, need the following questions answered:

  1. Have you identified where the scripts are originating from?
  2. Have you isolated any parameters that the scripts utilize that can be patched out?
  3. Will there be any game cancellation protocols when scripts are detected or immediate in-game removal of the player using the script?

Until this is addressed at a reasonable and effective level, I'm afraid I must put League of Legends on the back burner in my gaming library for the unforeseeable future. I do this unhappily, but perhaps Blizzard will be happy to see me more in the Heroes of the Storm's alpha test. Who am I kidding? It will be Diablo III.

As a side note, I made a suggestion not long ago, but I did not hear anything back from Riot about it. If you are reading this and respond, and I truly hope you do for everyone's peace of mind, please do give it a read and response. Thank you in advance.

Botting and scripting are two completely different things.

Bots are fully automated and play games with no human interaction. Scripting is 3rd program help that provides some automation. Effectively letting scripters play a champion perfectly/in a capacity beyond human reflexes. Currently popular, Katarina scripts.

My understanding is that work on the current servers has been basic maintenance only for a few weeks at least. This is because the new servers are the main priority for the server teams. Bots are not being combated, and issues that are not also effecting the new servers are not being addressed. This makes sense from Riot's position, the faster the new servers come online the faster EVERYTHING gets fixed, and so moving man power from the old servers will make that happen faster.

The choices are to either let the current servers fall into chaos while getting the new ones up A.S.A.P., or keep the old servers in fair condition while making very slow progress on the new ones. I don't know about you but I would gladly take the first option.

Just wanted to add to this, seeing these leveling bots in Summoner's Rift, in PvP games. I am not a new player and am something like 15-8 in games (I have to level a new account in NA since I moved from Australia with a level 30 Oceanic account, a separate matter...), and these bots are impacting even non-new player games, not sure how a bot can get to my Elo it doesn't make sense in matchmaking even in blink pick. This is so painful, I don't think I will bother playing any more :(
