Why are there no mr/armour penetration runes

- lost about 60 viable mr penetration
- apc's weak af now
- need new mr pen items or runes
So I always felt weaker ever since they changed runes and masteries this season but i put it off as just a psychological thing. but now that i checked my past seasons i had average kills of like 7.3, 9.1, and 8.0 with over 300 games as my lux main, but now this season im only at 5.6 with about 220 games. so thats a pretty big drop in kills, and im pretty sure its because i lost my old runes and masteries. like my old stuff i had like i had i think 26 mr pen b4 like 19 from runes and 7 from masteries. and 26 mr at the start of the game is op vs opponents who only have like 33 mr once i got sorc boots i was practically doing true dmg. now some people may argue well isnt that the point now u have to play for later in the game and buy it. well all the items have changed too so my old build is no longer viable.
abyssal scepter no longer gives mr reduction and took away it's ap and put it into banshee veil so even with the new 10% more ap dmg it doesnt make sense on an apc
liandry's torment used to have mr penetration plus the passive burn which worked well with my slows and snare so it was kind of a double whammy but by shifting the mr penetration to morellonomicon you have to choose between the two items because you aren't going to buy them both otherwise you lose out on other items
so when you put all that together i have lose 26 (runes+masteries)+ 25 (old abyssal scepter, again although the 10% is better with no ap on the staff you arent going to buy it)+ 15 (liandry's torment)= 66 mr penetration lost
now you may argue that sorcerer boots is 18 mr pen and voidstaff is 40% but thats really only a 3 mr difference for boots (used to be 15) and maybe 10 mr difference assuming 200 mr on enemy or only like 2.5 mr assuming 50 mr for a squishy.
so 66-3-10= 53 mr pen lost vs tank or 66-3-2.5=60.5 mr pen lost vs squishy. so 60 mr pen lost is HUGELY significant, vs tanks but especially vs squishies
but again you might still be pointing out that champions probably shouldnt be doing full dmg to an enemy squishy, but i would argue that there is so many mr items that an enemy squishy could buy to offset this: banshee veil, maw, mercucial, athene's grail, wits end, merc treads. and with those items having like 60 mr each or like 90-100 or more if u pair them up, and don't forget there are base mr too which is like 35 for squishies or like 70 for tanks. Also it was also moderately balanced because the mr pen items gave less ap than if you were to go other items like the old luden's which gave 120 ap, sometimes 15 mr pen vs a squishy with only like 50 mr is more valuable than 40 ap because of base damage.
now im not saying that riot should give players 26 mr penetration runes because i will admit it was somewhat op. However, when tanks have like 200+ mr easily every game void staff doesn't do enough to help combat them which is why there is a "tank meta" and even squishies when they get like only 1 mr item have 100 mr. So there should be more variety of items to pick from, like my old build almost never followed the recommended sets cause i wanted my mr pen but now there's practically no choice but to build the recommended. That way if the enemy doesn't build mr then he's getting a full blast of my dmg and since its mr pen through item choice its relatively based on your concept to buy them or skill to farm and get them in the first place.
P.S. since im on my rant thunderlord's was also alot better, because it used to proc with lux passive so i realistically only needed 1 spell and 1 aa, electrocute doesn't proc with the passive and u also lose out on the rest of the sorcery page, aery may be an actual contender in dmg comparison but with lux cd's being like 9 seconds and her mana costs so high she cant spam so not so much in my case, and arcane comet makes the most sense for lux but the fact that you miss the comet like half the times makes it feel alot weaker.
