Addressing ranged top laners

Ranged top laners have been a long time topic for a while. However I'm getting absolutely fed up now since Jayce is now becoming meta. Currently the 3 most common ranged top laners are Gnar Kennen and Jayce .

Lets see what these champions bring to the table: Gnar Mini Gnar: Q - Very long ranged and a slow W - A slow on every 3rd hit that also speeds him up and does % MAGIC damage E - A gap closer/escape that bounces on targets hit

Mega Gnar: Q - Long ranged slow, relatively high damage W - AoE stun E - Gap closer/escape R - AoE stun

Now Kennen Passive: Stun every 3rd ability hit Q - Long ranged poke W - Magic damage which can be AoE E - Speed up/damage R - Massive AoE that does significant damage which also stuns constantly

Now Jayce Ranged Mode: Q - Massive damage very long ranged poke with E W - Makes attack speed max for 3 AA, when maxed does 110% damage per AA E - AoE speed up

Melee: Q - Gap closer/Slow W - AoE magic damage E - Knockback

Now that they are broken down what does it all mean? It means none of them have a significant weakness in lane or in team fights. This means they have a massive advantage in lane vs most melee laners. They have the damage and the utility to handle almost any match up. Not only does their kits naturally make them have an advantage but other outside factors come into play. Easier keystone procs and of course a major culprit, minion block.

Minion block is utter bullshit. Minion block makes melee champions miss CS and makes it harder to get to a ranged opponent in lane. RANGED CHAMPIONS DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. They are able to CS without getting in the way of minions and are already ranged so they can freely poke at an enemy melee laner. Minions damage is also significant. Ranged laners will maybe get hit 1-2 times by minions when they hit an opponent but if a melee tries they first have to get into range and when they do hit the opponent they take between 4-10 hits from a minion as they are backing off.

TL;DR Put more bans. bring back minion reduction masteries, or remove minion block to help melee top laners.

6/10 of the top winrate toplaners are melee. Even if you remove Galio due to his low playrate, it's still 6/10 as Tryn fills in.

13/20 of the top winrate toplaners are melee.

Ranged toplaners are annoying, but they're not intrinsically better at winning the game in solo-queue.
