what the fuck are you supposed to do versus a zed? like, I play varus and I usually ask for any other role if zed is picked before me because no matter how many kills I get pre 6, that fucker always kills me with that stupid ass ulti, honestly, its literally a free kill every time its up. so far, my best bet is to get zhonyas second item so he dosent kill me in 1 hit, and I cant rush it, because then I wont deal any damage without nashors. I find it stupid that a character is balanced around 1 singular item that only less than half the roster can utilize properly.

maybe just accept the fact that you cna't do anything to Zed as AP Varus.

Exhaust or Barrier as Summomer Spells can help you tremendously vs him.

As for Varus, you have the option to go for the Tear build (with Meditation mastery for Mana Regen) and farm with your Q from afar (Blue Buff from your jungler also helps).

One big thing to note is that Zed's Ult places him behind you, so you can immediately CC him when he appears (in Varus' case, with your Ultimate).

It is important to note that Zed is a squishy Assassin, so sticking with your team helps a lot.

Any Defensive item can be a huge problem for Zed. Sterak's, Death's Dance, Bloodthirster, Guardian Angel, Phantom Dancer for AD champions. For AP champions, Zhonya's and all AP+HP items help you a lot.

barrier didn't help me whatsoever, and whenever I tried to ult him he'd just pop back to a shadow and kill me in 1 hit with q e auto attack and ignite, the barrier didn't even feel like a buffer. as for farming, I guess I could go for the tear build, but that got nerfed real hard a while back, so its pretty weak. but atleast ill get safe farm, solong as he dosent 1 shot me under tower :/

He is a tough lane and thats his entire purpose. Its mostly about hugging your tower and avoiding poke.

After laning phase stick with the team. if he dives into 5 people he is dead.

Your Friendly neighborhood person who hated zed for 3 seasons and still semi dislikes playing against that cancer.

If you're an ADC, and he's an Assassin, then he will almost always kill you. Unless you use Summoner Spells, he will always kill you. It's intended, and it's supposed to keep you as a ranged carry in check.

Once laning phase is over, it becomes a lot more difficult for him to kill you, assuming he didn't snowball. You'll have protection from tanks and supports and perhaps an item under your belt. Bloodthirster is a good anti-burst item if you can keep the shield up on yourself.

item 3046 item 3047 item 3026 stay near support so they can exhaust. position behind your team so he has to blow w or flash to reach you.
