Hello everybody,
Lately, i made a conclusion that counter jungling is useless when it comes to xp. Sometimes i steal 5 or more camps from the enemy jungler and still we will be the same level. I don't know if it's because there is a big catch-up experience in this patch, but it is making counter jungling useless. In season 7, when i have been taking ennemy camps, i would be 2 levels ahead.
Do you have any remarks about that ?

Elite4Runner2 votesIt mostly depends on how the enemy jungler is playing.
You also need to remember that investing your time in counter jungling means you are also not available to spend that time ganking or clearing your own jungle.
If you are counter jungling an enemy jungler that is successfully ganking, you aren't really hurthing them. If you are counter jungling an enemy champion that is also counter jungling you, you are also not hurting them.
However, if you are counter jungling an enemy champion that is not ganking well, or trying to farm their own jungle, when they go to that camp only to find that it is already gone, they are wasting time, which costs them gold and exp.
Siidoow1 votesGold maybe, not xp. I just left from a game where i hard counter jungled rammus and he didn't gank well. Still at mid late we were at the same level. There is something called xp catch-up and it's not fair.

Hügö1 votesWhy steal camps that don't give exp anyway? Riot nerfed jungle exp to the ground, the only options to steal are buffs or krugs the rest is useless to steal except for the gold.

Tegash1 votesCounterjungling only works if you prevent the opponent from poaching from you in return. Otherwise, the other jungler take no net loss overall.
BrightWîngs1 votesI've also noticed this you do however get a gold lead at least Im not sure on how you can balance this because champions that are prone to getting counter jungled would just be hella fucked and playing from behind in jungle already feels like ass along with the current speed of the game it may feel impossible to come back from.

at 30 minutes he had

so you spent 9458 gold
he was only able to spend 7700
you had a 2K gold lead on him with WAYYYY more efficient items I think this is quite fine because you gotta think what you're doing isnt exactly difficult youre just killing monsters when he isnt there lol. You took all the guys money at least let him have some levels XD
