I have 5 chests right now and 2 key fragments. Is there a limit to how many key frags you can earn like chests or is it infinity or is it that i'm that bad and riot hates me?

Key frags are exceptionally rare for some people. I just made a post earlier asking if we can convert chests into keys because I have 7 and even my first 2 keys of the month take about 12 wins per fragment to attain. I just don't have the time to even just open the chests that I get.

i commented there too..... ive gotten 4 mabye 5 chest :/ keys tho fk i get too many XD want one emails a key

Get S or higher with having a chest on that champion (do better than the previous S- or S you got by attempting to get an S+ and you'll get a key frag once a week on it as well). It happened on my favorite champion twice in about a month so either that or make a teammate get an S on their champion in a normal/ranked game

This isn't true. I have received multiple S ranks that are higher than my previous S rank that gave a chest and it does not guarantee a key and have never received a key on a S game or even any of my S+ games. It's just a coincidence since you normally don't get S ranks when you lose.

I'm sitting at 30+ key fragments so no, there is no real limit.

What I've heard is that key drops slowly fall of in frequency the more you get them and this time limit resets like every month of so. You can also only get keys with champions you own and you only get them if you win I think. It's been a while since I read about this stuff so I could be wrong.

I only play aram and rather infrequently but a lot of games at a time so maybe that helps?
