(I'm french so please excuse my very bad english...)

Xerath and Jhin both get an ultimate which does something similar. It's a sniping spell with several shots.

The problem is that new champions always get more little passive and property which make their spell more powerful than spells of the old champions.

Comparison :

  • Curtain Call CD : 120; 105; 90 --> Rite of the Arcane CD : 130; 115; 100 +Jhin recovers 10 seconds of his cooldown on ultimate for each ball he didn't shoot. +Xerath just recovers half his cd if he didn't shoot any ball.

  • Curtain Call vision : When Jhin use his spell, his camera changes its position to see the all range of the spell. Rite of the Arcane : When Xerath is sniping with his ult, sometimes he's not anymore on his screen because the enemy he snipes are too fare from him. Jhin is the only one champion who can change his vision on the map to help him to use his spell. Jhin's players probably know that without this property, it could be probably more difficult to aim correctly. But Xerath's player are obliged to do without this help. Now there is this new aim system, I wish Xerath could enjoy this novelty too.

  • % of target's missing health on Curtain Call : Jhin enjoys this property on his ultimate which gives him insane bonus damage if the target is low hp. This property confirms the nature of finisher of this spell. Xerath's ult is a finisher too, but it doesn't have finisher property like Jinx R or Kog'Max R. (I hope this will be add in the Mid Year Mages Update)

  • Last ball of Curtain Call : Jhin get 4 balls on his ult (one more than Xerath) and the last one deals insane extra damage which make this one so much powerful. The three shots of Xerath's ult deal the same damage so the target escapes frequently very low hp because there's missing a little more damage.

  • The bonus slow on Curtain Call's balls : Each balls of Curtain Call applies 80% slow during 0,75 seconds which is enought to follow all the shots without launching chance of leakage. So if Jhin successfully shoots one of his four balls, the nexts will inevitably hit, except if the target use mooving spells. It's a huge bonus which help so much Jhin's player to make good ultimate, more than it needs. If Jhin keeps this property, Xerath deserves the same one. He could buy rylai, it's true, but the Rylai slow on area effect is just 40% during 1 seconds, 40% less than free property of Curtain Call. (My opinion is that this property make Curtain Call less skilled and more easy for bad sniper player to touch targets)

I've end what i wanted to say. I hope Riot will change this injustice between this two champions with the Mid Year Mage Update but it probably won't happen.

Thanks for reading.

Then you realize each shot of Xerath's ultimate is an AoE and he isn't restricted to firing within a cone.

The only similarity between the two is they have huge ranges that the opponent can see.

The real injustice if both champions are on the same team, if Jhin ults, and hits a single shot, Xerath's ult is nearly guaranteed.
