Gold Generation Items; Patch 7.10

Now that I've started to get used to the new gold items, geared to supports... I don't hate them, but I do think they need some tweaks.

Relic Shield... is actually OK as is. This item is geared to melee support, lets you execute minions and share CS Gold with your ADC (or nearby friendly laner). When you complete "the quest" you get a permanent rechargeable shield, very suitable for Tanks.

Ancient Coin has two problems, which I actually reported as bugs. What happens is, when you complete the Quest and upgrade, you get an additional item, which is a "skill potion." This lets you boost one of your Champion skills a level when consumed. The problem I encountered is that it requires a open slot in your inventory to summon the potion; if you've bought a lot of little stuff, you can't complete the quest to get the potion. The other problem with it, is once you hit level 18... you've already got all your skill upgrades, but the game is still telling you to "skill up" but of course, you can't. Of course, the other thing is, in comparison to the Relic Shield, this Quest Reward is valuable at early game, but has no value towards the end of the game, where the regenerating shield always has value. ...I was thinking perhaps something like a "piggy bank" where every 5 times you pick up a coin, your next Champ ability becomes empowered by, say, 8%

The Spellthief's Edge is disappointing in that although there appears to be a Quest, and it indicates that there is a Quest Reward... there really isn't one. You don't get anything special for completing the Quest at all. There should really be something here, such as when you are using Charges (the Spellthief's Edge has 3 charges, and when you damage a Champ or Turret, a charge is expended and you get extra Gold) the Attack or Ability used does an additional 2/4/6% True Damage (you would need to have all 3 charges up, and use all 3 against the same target to get the 6% bonus).

If you have no inventory for the coin quest, the elixir is automatically consumed.

Spelltheif's quest bonus is a 50% when you proc one of the tribute charges. It's is 1213423% most definately there.

Worth remembering that only the tier 2/3 items gain quest rewards upon completion. Tier 1 will give the wards upon upgrade.
