i was wondering if anyone has a good way to de-rank without ruining other people's games. the only way i know of to de-rank is to lose a bunch of games which requires purposely losing. I don't want to people to lose games because of me, i just want to play ranked with my friends who are lower elo. (Note i don't have the time before the season ends to rank up a new account to 30 to play with them)

you still have to throw placements to get low elo.
Carreau1 votesim assuming ur high elo, (plat-diamondish). so if u do ur placements, on a brand new account, im pretty sure ur not going to get diamond 2 solely off ur placements. if u do super well on them ur prob only going to get high gold max. you dont have to throw anything.
Dirty Bastard3 votesThis proposition in any form is dubious. If you for any reason play less than what you are capable of to deliberately fall in rank then it is basically griefing.
Mysticman892 votesThe idea would be to play normals if your friend(s) are sufficiently different skill level from you that you're not within 1 tier in ranked.
Also consider the spicy world of flex, since your ranks there may be more similar unless you've put time into climbing that as well.
Mysticman891 votesActually looking you up, you're gold 5, and bronze in flex. Since you want to rank down instead of up, it implies your friend is bronze, which means you're probably compatible in flex, and flex is basicaly made for allowing people to play ranked with their different skill level friends.
