Losing faith in Teambuilder fast

The idea of team builder is pretty good in my head. But, when I que up I literally never get put on teams or against teams of my skill level. Right now I am Gold V. Every single game of teambuilder I have played in the past two weeks or so I am put on a team with 2-3 Diamond II players. Normally I wouldn't care because I que up as support anyways. My real problem is that every single person calls me bad. Of course I am not the best player. but rather than do anything to actually help the team they just call the lowest rank player bad constantly as an excuse so they can still look like they are a diamond. Can I just get partied up with people MY OWN SKILL LEVEL. I don't even care if it's some low plats but a diamond II is nowhere near my skill level. Please fix this.

iirc, the matchmaking is based on how many times you played a role in teambuilder. i suppose the reasoning for this is that a low gold solo q top laner might want to try other roles which he may play at a silver level? but yeah, that kinda falls apart for diamond players...it's not like they'll magically become horrible at their non-main roles.

but i remember after around 5-10 games in one role, matchmaking stabilized for that role.

Yes you can... GO PLAY RANKED GAMES IF YOU CARE SO MUCH ABOUT THE RANKED STATUS! Team Builder doesn't care about Ranked MMR nor Normal games in general. You are playing the wrong mode if you care so much about peoples ranked status.

I'm also Gold V, and I had a match history of 9 straight losses in Teambuilder and Draft because matchmaking decided it was a good idea to put me against Diamonds and Plats. I feel like this 4.20 patch made it a lot worse.

This one match 2 days ago when our team was getting wrecked I see "TSM Dyrus" on the other team. I don't know if that's really him or some poser, but either way he's Diamond and that's when I officially knew Riot was trolling me.
