Is it better to focus the enemy teams frontline tanks, considering you shred through their hp incredibly quick, or to try flank and go for their adc in the back. usually i try to go for the adc but the second i come out from invisibility they turn on me in a split second, maybe im just not doing it right
You are the adc, not the assassin. Your job is to survive while dealing as much damage as possible, so usually you're focusing the tank.

Anyway, think of it like this. Which team is more vulnerable, the one without a frontline or the one with the frontline? Kill the enemy tank first, and then there's nothing protecting the enemy carries.
You kill the highest priority target you can safely hit. If you can safely attack the backline, go for it. However, in most cases you will have to deal with the frontline if you don't want to get out of position.
Shoot whoever is closest, wait until they're low then do Vayne stuff. You flank and you risk being lit up. Vayne excels at abusing chaos in teamfights so following up initiation is usually more rewarding than playing her like an assassin.
also, any advice for fighting rivens, i dont understand how but late game rivens can just blow me up in a second, and when i ult tumble to escape i usually see rivens flash onto me with a stun knockup... somehow every time riven finds me she has the flash to do it
Whoever you're able to attack safely, but preferably not the tank of the group :/
You sit behind your team and shoot the closest enemy near you.
Depends how the situation develops, but generally they are going to send a tank at you and you are gana wana try to wall pin that fucker and focus him down.
