time to remove autofill in ranked?
i think its time for a big change in ranked in a good way. i think it starts with the removal of auto fill as a whole. the positives have got to a point that they do not outweigh the negatives.
What are the pros to auto fill?
- shorter q times so you dont have to wait to play. i am in gold elo and my main is support and q times are between 4-6 mins and that is including dodges. so in most cases there is no short q times.
cons to autofill?
- you will have at least 2 players autofilled roles and that makes a major impact on wins and losses.
playing ranked starts to lose any reason of playing when players are allowed to int cause they are auto fill jung and no one wants to play jung. i see more support mains then i do jung mains.
- trolling and RQ
you get more people troll picking champions and rage quitting cause the get more frustrated playing a role that person did not want to play as. and if that player is not knowledgeable in that role they are more likely to pick bad champs in that role and auto lose your team at champ select example picking
in ranked or
.
- it creates more toxic players.
most players gold elo and below tilt more with more games played with the same autofilled players ruining game after game. so a longer q time can give players more time to cool off from rough games.
in my climb i have played against players with the skill of gold players and are still stuck in silver and bronze cause of other players actions.
in conclusion i believe that the autofill can be removed to make the ranked system more healthy or even change the way you gain lp by allowing players to not only climb by wins and losses but by individual stats vs the other teams same role. so if my
goes 2/3/24 and the enemy
goes 0/8/14 but the blitz players team wins the thresh player should gain little lp for beating his lane match up but the blitz player would still gain lp for winning the game but not as much as another player on his team would not only won the game but also beat his lane match up stat wise.
