Athene's recipe is Fiendish Codex and Chalice of Harmony. Fiendish Codex was buffed in patch 8.9 to 35 AP yet when you upgrade it to Athene's u lose 5 AP (Athene's gives 30 AP). While we are at it can u buff the item a bit?

I'd be all for making Athene's Unholy Grail more viable. It almost never gets built.

Technically due to it's passive you should get more than the 30 it has. 50 infact due to 100% bonus mana regen. This is probably why it has less. A passive which adds 20AP from just buying the completed item.

Although, it should be 35, you are right, seems a little unfair to have it have less damage because technically you are getting more damage.
