Is there a problem with DQ?

Is the issue really with DQ, or with a facet of it? I mean I think people are generally pleased with the Pick your lane options, so theres no more arguing with pick order or calling lane spots. But I think the problem just comes from the fact that Solo Queue players directly are punished for playing alone. Its not that DQ is utter shit that ruined the game, but that its the match up thats hurting the players. So why is it people are asking to completely ditch DQ, instead of just saying theres one specific issue with DQ that needs to be addressed?

DQ operates differently to solo queue. In solo queue communication was a secondary thing for most ranks, and personal skill was more than enough to decide the fate of the game. Over the years personal skill has been taking on a smaller and smaller role as Riot tries to get teamwork to be the main focus.

DQ absolutely demands communication, whether in the form of full premades or smaller premades talking to their pugs. Most players seem to copy things from the higher ranks, but teamwork isn't something you can simply copy, it's a skill you have to develop.

Being slow when developing this skill means losing at rank levels where you would normally be winning. That, at the very least, is the core of the hate when it comes to DQ.
