Ancient Coin Now gives 50 mana No longer gives 5% cooldown reduction
Is this some kind of joke? Ancient coin statistically isn't the best staring item option on ANY SINGLE CHAMPION IN THE GAME. Not on Soraka. Not on Rakan. Not on Alistar. NOONE
So you remove the only useful stat it has in lane and replace it with 50 FUCKING MANA? If you want noone to buy this item, just remove it from the game.

You're wrong.
All those champions have horrendous mana pools and relatively high mana costs. They love having some more mana, because this means one more spell cast before 100% oom, while at the same time also increasing the value of the mana coins AND the meditation mastery. CDR early is nice, but so is having mana. More CDR does nothing for you if using your spells at a higher cadence means you'll run oom instead.
Might be worth buying as taric
Also I'd just like to reiterare that there are NO champions in the game that coin is the best starting option on (as far as I checked on lolalytics, and I looked up quite a few candidates.)
And these slight changes will achieve nothing to make it competitive against spellthiefs.
If they added 50 mana IN ADDITION to the 5% CDR it still wouldn't make this item good.
