Let's Give Quinn some quality of life buff as well

While I know that Quinn isn't the most in need of a quality of life buff, I noticed there are some areas of her kit that could really use a little mercy for games where she's not doing her best.

1. Let her Q, Blinding Assault, trigger the Vulnerable passive If her passive is going to trigger on people farther away from her auto attack range and she knows that it would be havoc for her if she tries to AA that target, let her trigger that mark with a single Q. It provides game play strategy as well as utility. Does she use the Q to provide that extra damage onto a far away target or does she keep the Q in case the enemy bruiser tries to jump onto her face? Like Riot said in Quinn's reveal and spotlight, "Blinding Assault is Quinn's only form of harass, so use it wisely". And what a interesting mechanic it would be to create that sort of situation in a game.

2. Let the Vulnerable passive be more forgiving with targeting low level minions One thing I noticed when farming, or just in general, Vulnerable will occasionally target a minion that has literally 6 hp left and has 20 minions attacking it. There's always a delay between when Valor will target the next enemy with Vulnerable and nothing is more aggravating than a vulnerable buff like that simply escape your clutches because you didn't AA it in the .01 second time frame you're given. My suggestion would be, the vulnerable mark will disappear after a certain time frame or if the enemy strays too far away. If the target marked with vulnerable dies without being detonated, it will instantly mark the next nearest target. This is only a suggestion, I don't know how well it would work out in play testing. I just would like a little more mercy with the passive targeting system.

EDIT: The Vault idea was interesting, but didn't fit her kit well. Perhaps it would be best suited to be conferenced about in the Champion Concepts boards. I took the paragraph out, and edited some parts of paragraph to emphasize the first two points.

TL;DR, Let Blinding Assault trigger Quinn's passive, make Vulnerable be more forgiving with its targeting.

The only real tweak that Quinn needs is in her vault. Letting Vulnerable be proc'd by her abilities would make her too powerful since the bonus damage and range on her Q would make her zone of control much too high

Her main problem is entirely in her Vault. The problems with vault are twofold

  1. If you vault when the enemy is running away you will land too far away to auto attack them. Similarly If you Vault while the enemy is closing you may land close enough for them to hit you. Basically because the enemy keeps moving while you vault the distance you are able to create is inconsistent in ways that are bad for quinn

  2. Quinn cannot take actions while vaulting. Enemies of course can and can use the duration to punish you for coming in close while you have essentially stunned yourself

If you sped up the animation/moved the end position to take into account the enemies velocity/allowed Quinn to take action while in the back side of the animation (I/E let her auto attack immediately after she impacts the enemy) she would be a lot stronger and flow a lot better without having to resort to large power injections by letting her proc her passive with Q

As a bot lane Quinn main I like where you went with Blinding Assault triggering the passive and with Vulnerable marks being less forgiving, but you lost me with Vault. I would absolutely hate such a re-worked Vault as it would be a pain to control and it thematically doesn't fit for her kit in my opinion. Also, it would be better if Harrier instead refreshed and applied itself on another target if the first target dies immediately after Valor comes in to mark it. Also, having Harrier prioritize targets that Quinn is autoattacking more often than currently would be nice.

  1. Completely agree
  2. Agreed as well
  3. Somehow I can't see this on her to work.
  4. OTOH, while I like Quinn, I can't find much use for her ult. Turning a ranged ADC into a melee AD champ is not such a good idea, since she falls appart pretty quickly if she tries to use her QWE in hawk form. Nidalee is much better suited for this role. All Quinn's ult is good for, at least for me, is roaming and either killing an isolated enemy champion with the dissolve, or killing a minion wave. Personally, I would remove the hawk-form QWE and instead give her some other perks for it. A vision radius of roughly 1/3rd of the map which persists even after she's changed back (until the ulti would have ended normally, let's say 30 seconds or so) would be nice. Eagle eyes indeed.

Disclaimer: I'm unranked, but probably belong somewhere in silver, as of current, so I may misunderstand a couple of things about her.

Edited post, removing the part about Vault. The idea was better suited for a champion's concept board rather than gameplay board

Could you perhaps post a link to where your idea for Vault is, or post it in a comment? IMO, the Vault-Harrier combo is the best part of her kit. The ability to deal 218 damage at level 2 with just Harrier, Vault, and 2 AA is just insane (this is taking blinding assault at lv 1, and not including it in calculations). Vanye (Quinn's equivalent ADC) deals 128.8 damage using the same formula(1 ability,Tumble, 2 AA).

Riot won't allow that. If she were able to trigger Harrier from Q her burst potential would be on par with old level 1 Riven, broken. Level 2 Quinn who starts red pot + ignite could pull off an easy triple harrier with that change = fb easily.
