Lux is the epitome of what a balanced mage should be.

She has fantastic strengths while still having clear weaknesses. Laning is decent, but not excellent. She destroys only a couple of champions in lane (Karthus is the only one who really comes to mind), but can hold her own against almost anyone if played properly - with only a few true counters (Talon especially). She excels in team fights, but must be positioned properly and land her abilities to contribute, or risk doing being deleted by the enemy assassin(s) and doing zero damage.

When I see an enemy Lux and I'm playing mid, I look forward to getting into the game, because I know that it will be a fair lane, based on our respective skills.

You know that feeling of despair when you see the enemy mid-laner lock in something like Zed? Seeing an enemy laner lock in Lux is the opposite of that.

Not only that Lux is the epitome of a healthy mage...there are also other champions in different roles that are healthy as fu*k.

My vote goes for:

Mid lane (mages): Lux and Malzahar. Mid lane (assassins): Talon and only Talon. Top lane (Tank/fighter): Trundle, Darius and Renekton. Jungle: Currently I think Rengar, Nocturne and Amumu are the best examples of a healthy champions. Supports: Nami and I see only Nami as the perfectly balanced, the champion that doesn't need buff or nerf. Adc: Caitlyn, Sivir, Kog'Maw and Twitch are here and there perfectly balanced imo, with clear strenghts and weaknesses, even tho I think Twitch may get some slight buffs to his base HP or HP/Sec.

If casting 2 spells and going OOM is the epitome of balance, I'll stick with my OP Mages tyvm.

Vel'Koz is another great example of a balanced mage. Really, mages as a whole tend to be less toxic than assassins, whose kits by their design walk a knife's edge of being toxic.

Thats not how you spell Orianna.

**Lux's shield should apply and proc her passive. **Her E should get a 20 base damage buff so the cost is justified and she can clear a wave in a single burst around level 9 like most mages.

Then she would be worth playing.

The biggest issue with Lux in my mind is with her Q. It is out classed by a ton of other APs who have a stun and more and more it seems Lux's range is average as more 700+ range abilities enter the game.
