it would fit the spartan title where a bunch of people hold up shields and charge at their enemies, it would be I think a really cool ult and much better than the semi-global he has now

Not sure where you're getting this notion that they charged at enemies like that. Holding a tight formation with even so much as 50 men while trying to run wouldn't be possible. They held formation and advanced, yeah. But it wasn't at a sprint.
Plus, that goes completely against the one-man-army theme they're going for. He shouldn't have anything even close to an ally boost, because he alone is an army.
