A option to disable "Lock In" during Champion Select for Ranked Matches

I was too busy talking to my teamates and sadly I'll miss them. We were ready, talking game plans, etc, also one game away from Gold 2. but suddenly I just accidently dodged a match because I didn't lock in my character but I picked him. All because I didn't "Lock In" I was too in the moment, tired a bit, didn't get enough sleep. So now I am disqualified and have lost a game after that happening. There goes my day, now I am trying to get back to my placements and it's taking hours.

Please, Riot Games, give us an option to disable the "Lock In" I had my champion ready and selected. It's just like a normals game. Now with the new banning system it'll be easier, if someone takes your champion just have the client pop infront, or notify. If there is an option let me know.

If someone can't pay attention to a counter, and very clear audio cues that they must lock in, why should Riot assume that they're fit and focused enough to play the game?

i highly disagree with the OP.. first off becuase i dont want to have every freaking player waste 30 second of my time becuase they choose thier char then decided to talk tab away. and it not just about them wasting our time it also mean they arn't bother looking at what the opponent picked.. they aren't seeing team chat, and not putting effort into drafting a good comp.

its the same thing as telling your team they don't fucking matter and your just going to do w/e the hell you want.

if you cant be bothered to actually pay attention to the draft.. pick a decent team comp.. work with your teammates for a mere THIRTY SECONDS, then i sure as hell don't want to spend 15-30 min playing a game with you on my team.

I agree. Riot comes up with a lot of bullshit excuses for their updates.

"Autofill" queues that run on for 6 minutes then slam you in a filled role- but Riot says auto-fill was supposed to reduce queue times. They even changed the "Auto-fill Enabled" description recently.

"Lock in" is supposed to be an AFK Check system, but the AFK check had absolutely NO issues before Team Builder update. And then Team Builder turned into this nightmare Champ Select we have today that birthed the nonsense "Autofill" system.

And now that you can only have two Rune pages (unless you bribe Riot by buying RP) a lot of pre-game lobby is spent adjusting your Runes.

I'm actively managing my Runes in pre-game lobby. If a game program can not recognize my game activity- then I call bullshit. The program knows damn well I'm not AFK. If you select a champion before "Lock In" that champion should be auto-selected if you are busy managing OTHER aspects of your game: Rune Pages, Team strategy, Discord channels (probably the real reason because they're trying to shove lame ass Teamspeak in our faces)...

Whoever downvotes your post is just kissing Riot's ass frankly. Because there is absolutely no real reason to have to click Lock-In.

tldr Riot can tell you're not AFK anytime you're performing game functions, Lock-In isn't a necessary tool for AFK checks.

tldr 2 Riot is trolling the players by giving us reasons for game functions that don't actually apply.
