Can you dodge provisionals without LoL giving you an auto lose?

I've had two games were i know i was screwed going in but being in provisionals I just didn't dodge because it came down to fight or auto lose. I lost both of those games so I'm just wondering if players are able to skip their provisionals.

Yeah, I dodged like 5 games and it had no effect whatsoever.
