Am I the only one who thinks he's worst now?

Feel like the bonus ad he got from E was probably the thing that made him somewhat viable.

His barels are pretty lame. Not really a fan of the fact that enemy can kill them. Also whats with the ult bonus? 500 silver things -.-? Seems unrealistic. The passive is disapointing. Wish they made it every few hits or a bit shorter timer. Sucks that the passive gets triggered on minions. Wish they made it so that if you used it on minions the cooldown was a lower.

I've played a few games with him and so far not really digging the rework How are you guys doing with him so far? And if you have any suggestions please shoot. Also what are his core items now?

I had a GP last night build a Trifoce, Frozen Heart, and Thornmail and proceed to wreck the entier other team. Between the barrels, passive, Q poke, and Thornmail they couldn't do anything to him.

He just requires more thought to play now because you have to set-up the barrels. Sure his playstyle is different, but different =/= bad.

I really like the new GP, actually. The barrels are an amazing farm/harass/escape tool if you use them right, his passive deals a surprising amount of damage and is worth proccing your barrels to use again in a trade, regardless of whether you hit with the barrels. His new ult upgrades are actually pretty interesting and most SR games allow for about 2 per game in my experience, with a change coming to other maps that gives him passive SS generation (on the PBE).

The myriad numbers nerfs that Riot hit GP with that they hid really suck though and I thought they were supposed to stop doing that way back when they did it to Sona. Oranges took a pretty significant hit if you max them first, though they got buffed pretty significantly if you don't. Cannon Barrage took some pretty hefty nerfs for no reason that I could see, too. All in all, I think he's in a better place, but will need some tuning to get him right.

I've only played GP in aram, but he definitely feels extremely underpowered. It also takes 5 years to upgrade his ultimate. Even at max level it takes like 10 minion waves to bloody upgrade it once. I haven't seen a GP with all upgrades yet. Not even sure if I've seen an ultimate with one upgrade...

Also a huge thing about GP is even when you get 500 serpents I don't think its really satisfying. With Viktor when you upgrade skills, you and your opponents can clearly tell the difference, (not really with Q or R) but theres a huge visual difference and a gameplay difference. With GP nothing really changes.

His Q is in a decent spot, and can easily make GP have full build first but does near negligible damage. Late game his barrels really do a lot of damage. I would suggest serpents to also upgrade his basic abilities. Shiny new pistol? Fresh Oranges? Teemo Filled Barrels? :o

Yeah, IMO changing his passive change was too much. He needed that staking slow on every AA and Q. He has no gap closer, a slow that requires preperation (like wtf), and it takes 500 SS just to make his ult worth using. And you cant max W first any more because the ability sucks for healing now. They tuned him into a melee bruiser with a farming ability... IMO hes not worth playing right now, which sucks, but he doesnt do anything better then other champions like him.

Serpents are a noob trap.

Even if you actively farm them, you most likely won't get an upgrade before 20 minute mark, but then once your barrels OHK minion waves you have the other two upgrades by 40th minute.

Agreed, they fucked him up. I want his old passive back and Q should apply passive. Barrels are strong but a super annoying mini-game mechanic that I feel takes any fun out of playing him. Would rather have his entire old kit back. Same with MF.

I have played a bit. I liked old GP he was fun to play but ocompletely useless. Now he feels useless and ultimatelyless fun to play. I have been experimenting and I think the best way to go is to get damage rush something like item 3074 and just farm all early game, by the time is min 20 or so you will have an upgrade and a half in your passive (around 700) and you shoud be able to clear waves with a single barrel and parley... Getting all 3 stacks is unrealistic, you should hope for one and maybe a second by the end of the game.

He was always bad, but yh now it's more easy to play against him, Riot did a GREAT JOB ON HIS REWORK! lol wut?
