Dear Riot,

Could you wait with the Kai'Sa buffs? I really enjoy playing her and am performing decently with her (61 games, 56% winrate and currently in Platinum 4). I believe that Kai'Sa is fine as a Champion the way she is, but people still have to figure her out. She's a new champion with short range, people just have to get used to it. Give Kai'Sa atleast two more weeks and if she still underperforms by then, it'll be a great idea to buff her. Please just don't touch Kai'Sa yet untill patch 8.7

Please don't Ornn Kai'Sa. I am a firm believer of the fact that people just have to learn how to play her properly and am afraid that buffing her will make her slightly too strong. Giving range to the strongest dueling Marksman is generally a bad idea.

They're going to overbuff Kai'sa because they couldnt wait a few weeks and she will be pick/ban. Promise you.

Every release where a champion is approximately balanced, there's this initial phase where the champion's win rate is low, for the rather basic reason that it takes time to understand and learn them. This is also usually the point where a bunch of players go on here to say that the champion in question will forever be unviable, doesn't have a place in the game, etc., all for pretty much the same reason (they don't understand the champion or what they bring to the table). However, what typically follows is that Riot takes these complaints to heart, then gives the champion a pretty serious amount of buffs. Fast-forward a month, and that champion ends up terrorizing Ranked and pro play, and Riot subsequently nerfs the champion in a manner different from the way they buffed them, often leaving them in a state where they're still really strong at higher levels of play, but not really as functional as they used to be. This is a cycle we've seen on Azir, Gnar, Ivern, Ornn, Tahm Kench, and a great deal many more other champions, and I very much hope the devs finally realize this pattern and avoid doing the same for Kai'Sa. It is normal for a champion to not do so well the moment they're released (and, in fact, this should likely be the target if the aim is to release a balanced champion), and considering how Riot has so much on their plate already when it comes to balancing the game, this is one mole they don't need to whack for the time being.

Wait for what? Shes bad.

And in plat anything is viable, so your personal winrate with her being above 50% doesnt mean anything, once you get to actual high elo like high diamond you'll she shes just unplayable.

Theres no "learning" her that will fix her early game + 500 range kit that doesnt work, her pick and winrate are already dropping.

The difference is her kit really isnt skill based. Its not the same imo.

Very unlikely she is getting more buffs anytime soon. Week one since the buffs she is 47% WR and rising she is either going to cap out close to about where most ADCs are or go higher and get nerfs instead. There is a possibiliry for buffs but they will be very small ones.

They could just buff her in a way that doesn't turn her into an early game monster... Maybe bring her AA range up to 550. That brings her in line with most of the ranged roster without affecting her too much in dueling since her Q is already 575.

Just read the PBE. Even with the AA range buff, she's still gonna be outranged by a lot of meta picks. Hell, VAYNE's AA range is 550 and she's the poster child for dueling ADCs. An AA range buff will leave Kai'sa less reliant on her support to keep her from getting bullied out of lane.

That said, I do agree that the range buffs to her Q are unnecessary, IMO they shouldn't touch it at all.

I don't mind if they give her 525, or buff the e or r, but if they buff that q, w, or passive she will be broken.
