I wish for rioters input on Shen state.
Well, currently the guy is barely viable top lane. High quality players realized this, you don't see him in challenger / master elo being picked top lane, and most Shenthusiast moved to support. Recently even one of the better known Shen streamers declared and stopped playing Shen top lane (Tricky Travster).
So perhaps it's Riot's approach just to really bury something under nerfs and hope no-one complains, given that current zeitgeist is to bash "tank meta, tank meta" this doesn't really get brought up as much. I just wish to know are there any plans to .. make this champion work? Rather than bury him and hope no-one notices? One guy makes big drama on youtube and rito spinelessly takes away 30 damage from single and only damage tool champion has. While not giving anything in return to make up with utility.
He's not picked LCS, he's not recognized as valid pick in higher elos and other than few Shenthusiast sadomasochists not played top lane. Yeah, I understand the global ult part, which got nerfed hard since I last remember back in season 6, does it justify him just being bullied in top lane by practically anyone with half a brain, to the point that he became support pick?
I just hope there is something in the books in near future to address this. Can I get an input from someone who actually is in the knows, please? Or should I just move and start investing in another champion, damn or perhaps play support?
And please. If you do not have anything of value to add to my plea for answers, restrain from commenting. Not looking for discussion which falls outside of this question about how bad top lane is, tank meta or adc stuff.
or
. The loss of flexibility really does hurt him, especially when you'd like something a bit tankier tu survive getting shoved out of lane. On the other side i understand that he has global presence, and if his waveclear was too strong he could end up straight OP. Also i think it could be nice if his Q's bonus damage applied to turrets and restored energy (not the %hp part, just the flat damage)
