Old Ghost Poro and the importance IT Had in the Twisted Treeline Meta
So, hello from Twisted Treeline!! Yes, jokes aside we have players. And not only that but our own very unique meta based on constant ganks and jungle control. It's very exciting and you should try it! But to the main point, Ghost Poro.
So, if you've never played Treeline you might know that this made has no wards. And trinkets are replaces with a poof of vision that lasts for a few seconds and any enemy that is inside it or walks into it is marked and viable for a small time. This means that there's constantly little to no vision on the map. So any champion that had ways of covering your own mid bush (The gateway to your jungle essentially) was very very strong. This made so champions like
pick or ban because he could have your jungle be totally protected and keep an eye on the other side too.
Now, this is where the magic of Ghost Poro (Which I'll be galling GP from here forward) comes in. GP pretty much let you have a temporary ward. Of course the little guy saw someone he's go away but he played a major part in Treeline and made for a much more aggressive champion pool because suddenly support and jungle picks could spend less time camping the push and more time farming and ganking safely. The change of GP make sit completely useless on Treeline and changes the meta majority to be a lot more campy. Which isn't a bad thing, but one of the best parts of Treeline was the constant action going on and the struggle for map control and the swings of momentum at the drop of an ult or a sudden 3 person smash onto someone a little to far up. GP enabled a much more fast paced game play speed and verity of vision. It was a must have on any jungler or support pick and still a great choice on a lane role.
I ask Riot to change GP to work it's only way as a pseudo ward and trinket use on Treeline. It'd be selfish to change the balance of the main format to suit us Treeline players but if it could work different in our favorite game mode that would be amazing. Especially to be seen by the mother ship and acknowledged as we don't get that often.
Thanks! TL;DR Old GP was amazing and I and other TT platers would like it back on Treeline
