We had a league of bruisers once. It was horrible.

You know, if tanks get fed they might have superior beefyness, but still not as much damage.

If assasins get fed, they deal a shitton of damage, but they are STILL easy to kill once you land that one cc on them because they are squishy. Same thing counts for mages, adcs and literally anything squishy that deals high damage.

When bruisers get ahead... Well, then they have superior defense AND superior offense while being designed to have mobility and/or cc in their kit on top of that. This is how Irelia and several other toplane champions can snowball so brutally that at some point winning your lane versus them is impossible as they are offense, defense, sustain and mobility somewhat mashed into one.

I don't think that I would ever wish for the Age of Assassins to come back, but I would prefer that over a Bruiser Meta...

Too bad the tanky met was not flashy enough for "Big LCS PLAYS" (because why else would you buff fucking Lee and Zed right before worlds?)

Yeah i would much rather deal with league of tanks and league of bruiser than league of assassins. At least most bruisers can be kited and and dont have a ton of mobility.

Assassins on the other hand can put out over a thousand damage in a under a second and then have so much mobility that they get out almost unscathed (Looking at you Zed and Leblanc) Not too mention the are some of the safest laners in the game. So yea bring on your tanks and your bruisers if it means i dont have to deal with league of assassins i am game.

But you CAN kill them. That's the point. You can kite the bruiser all game. Worst case: he catches and kills you. Best case: you do not die but don't get a kill either. This leads to a miserable gameplay experience that is all about AVOIDING enemy interaction because you just cannot win.

Oh btw, I want to see how you kite something like Irelia or Xin, because the last time the meta favored them hard they killed you before their hard cc even ended.

Sigh, I really prefered the Tank Meta. Have seen so many champs viable, it was amazing... Now we will only have Sated Devourer and a few selected Bruisers we see every game. Ugh this is going to suck...

Irelia IS MEANT to be difficult to stop thats what her passive is for. Also Xin is easy enough to kite as once he uses his E if he gets pushed away by anything he becomes easy prey if he isn't on the target he wants.

Also fighters CAN be killed its just not as simple as bursting them to smithereens in a split second (which assassins at the time were able to do btw). Not only was the assassin meta miserable for everyone but tanks and fighters were subject to their reign. There was a reason Leblanc and Zed were picked nearly every game and its because stopping them from killing you and your teammates was damn near impossible without absolute split second timing. Also ganking them was next to impossible and even the pros struggled to catch them such as Bjerg and faker.

Most of the champs that the forums have always despised have been assassins.

Ahri Akali Ekko Evelynn Fizz Kassadin Leblanc Nidalee Rengar Zed Katarina

Every single one of those champs has been complained about constantly with Zed , Leblanc , Nidalee Kassadin Being some of the most hotly complained about heroes of all time to this day. Some of the biggest balance problems i have seen in this game stem from assassins from Zeds absolute domination at worlds to Leblanc being hotfixed an hour after her release because she was deemed too overpowered.

Nidalees ability to fit well in any lane and excel (Except as ADC but she can do it) and her ability to completely delete half your health bar in one Q is still making players angry. The only real problems we had in the bruiser Meta was Renektons absolute domination top and Jarvan being too good at everything and weak at nothing. Those were the biggest issues of the bruiser meta.

I will say it again i will gladly GLADLY deal with the tank meta and the bruiser meta if it means i will never have to go through the assassin meta again.
