Old ranking system was better....

Ok, so... I am playing since season 2 at nordic and season 3 at NA, gold in 3 seasons in row... And I am getting tired of new system. Original ranking system we had was way better, because it was placing people in elo they actualy deserved at current moment, ignoring his old score. So, bronze players were in bronze, silver in silver, et cetera.

With the way how system works now, people are often getting lower or higher elo than they actualy deserve. Example> gold player does 10 promos, wins 5/loses 5. He gets placed into low silver, where most of players simply cant cope up with his picks [i legit had my pick banned by my team few times because "its not meta/i never saw"]. Another example is plat player losing 10/10 promos but still getting gold. What the?

As result, low elos like bronze/silver are full of flamers, afkers and plain incompatible players who play at different lvls. I saw very bad teams in gold, and very good in bronze, this just doesnt make any sense.

Facts: What I personaly have experienced:

  1. Low elos cannot follow even very good engages of higher tier players, thus ruining teamfights.
  2. Low elos plain cannot play with some setups. I main fiddle as support and have 100% win rate for lane, but few times my own adc banned fiddle cause "had no idea how to play with him". Thats sabotaging.
  3. Low eloers almost never use trinket, forcing support to do all the work. In gold+ adc actualy WARDING.

I can keep going, but this summarises this. Could we get back original system, where we were given bronze/silver/gold based on our performance in 10 promos rather than tracking down elo of previous games and misplacing people because of that?

When I first started playing ranked in season 2 I didn't really like the elo system because the incentive to climb just wasn't there for me. I was bronze with like 1000 mmr or w/e and I think silver was 1200 mmr. I just couldn't see me getting 200 mmr without losing a bunch so didn't really play much ranked. With the new system though, it gave me motivation to try and climb since you were going for getting 100 lp in a division.

That being said I do think it's dumb that people can be 1 rank but have the mmr of another rank in the current system.
