dragged down by matchmaking

I have played since Season 1 and have watched the matchmaking ques change. And at times of frustration asked the question; "Why would they think I could carry this hard?" My answer to this treatment?

I stop playing.

it goes away after a couple days and the cues return to normal. I don't know why, they just do.

I am of course talking about streaks. I will frequently win 10 games in ranked in a row. Mostly because I have not played as often as in the past and the new seasons generally drop me an entire league (Silver 1- Bronze 1) each year. But I play and laugh as I destroy people in lane who don't have the same experience, and it's fun.

What isn't fun, is that the matchmaking que seems to think that because i'm winning so consistently that I can carry a group of people who can't play at all. And I can't.

it always happens, I get up one day, and I lose every game that day. Now, if I just quit, the next day is fine....but if I want to keep playing, my ELO pays for it.

i contacted riot and asked why they have what I call, "win days and lose days." They told me as my ELO grows they assume I can carry more. I have no problem with that. But I will add this caveat; I can't carry that many people. Please adjust your matchmaking, however it worksness to only allow at most 2 completely incompetent people in 1 que. This would instantly erase ELO hell.

Thoughts? Places I missed?

If you play consistently better than everyone else in the game, on average you are giving your team an advantage every single game you play, no matter how many people you "can't carry." If you understand how MMR works, (and they kind of explained it to you), then the only real explanation for you not moving despite "always carrying" is that you are actually placed where you belong and when you go on a win streak it's clear that you cannot maintain that level of play and fall accordingly.

It might sound a bit harsh, but the more games you play, the closer the system gets to where you actually belong. You have played 40 games and you've lost 29. If you are consistently better than everyone else in the game like you claim to be (your match history suggests otherwise) then it's statistically very unlikely that you lose 29 of 40 games.

You can blame it on a system that you don't understand, or you can look at your own play (hey, maybe a hybrid teemo build has it's faults!) and try to improve upon that which would likely lead to actual results.

Take a look at your own match history, you'll find that you're feeding in a lot more games than you carry. Focus on those instead.
