apparently people can climb with a negative win rate, please teach me how. Thank you in advance.

Easy.
Have more kills, less deaths, and high KP% than your elo. Have better vision control.(Wards placed, destroyed, bought etc.) Have a high objective control ratio as well as gold lead over your opponents.
Getting your MMR up is the trick. You get it high enough and you literally don't lose LP when you lose.
higher mmr than rank. win 30 lp, lose 8lp. 1 win = 30, 2 loss = -16
