I had a friend who had this problem (she was like 10rp short of a low-tier skin) and she wrote in a support ticket and explained the situation and asked to get credited the 10rp or so. They did it, maybe you should try the same?
It's unlikely this would get attention on the boards in a timely manner.
E-mail riot with a drawing or something explaining your situation. :)
