Quin's Recommended items got changed to a lethality/assassin set up. Is this good?

I play quin quite a bit but I still build her like any other ADC, especially with Essence Reaver for the CDR/Mana refill. I might variate it up with a frozen mallet or some such, But I was going to ask you guys.

Is lethality such as duskblade and ghostblade as good on her as riot would have me believe, especially when her kit synergies well with crit/shiv?

I really don't think so. Quin is mostly a splitpusher and duelst. She gains a lot from items like Static Shiv or Phantom Dancer. She also has to frequently fight against enemy tanks both during the lane phase and because they'll show up to clear creep waves to stop her from taking towers, Lethality is best against squishies its very inefficient against tanks.

I don't see why she would go for a lethality build over a standard crit build.

If you like to play Quinn as a roaming Assassin, then the Lethality build is for you. It gives her the ability to practically one-shot any non-tank in a single rotation (if not less) while also making her slippery and hard to catch out due to the out-of-combat movement speed bonus, EoN's active, and Duskblade's truesight passive.

Just think about it this way: Harrier's cooldown being lowered by crit chance doesn't even matter when you can just kill people with two Harrier procs from Q and E.

Bottom line: if you need to be your team's consistent source of DPS in teamfights, go the crit build. Otherwise, the Lethality build is super strong for snowballing and assassinating squishy targets while also offering quite a bit of utility as well.

Thanks for the reply, I'll definitely consider this.

I actually still build trinity force on Quinn if I can get away with it, typically building a BF sword followed by sheen for the insane early burst potential, which can allow her to obliterate any ADC if she knows how to land the combos. I do this mainly as I said for the aforementioned burst, but the hp, cdr, cooldown and attack speed still help once I get both completed as it makes trading against her very difficult. I try to build more crit after this like a statik shiv followed by either bloodthirster or last whisper just to scare off their tanks, sometimes rushing the last whisper in case I see a Malphite or some other heavily armored bastard.
