Idea to Balance Zed
Currently, Zed is on a fairly long list of champions that most of the community agrees has to much damage combined with to much safety. My idea to help balance him without a total rework or taking away his identity is to take his damage and make it so he HAS to sacrifice his safety to deal it. The way I think this can be accomplished is to nerf his the damage he himself deals, but BUFF the damage of his shadow.
Let me explain: Zed's shurikens currently deal 75 / 115 / 155 / 195 / 235 (+ 100% bonus AD) physical damage to the first person they hit, and 45 / 69 / 93 / 117 / 141 (+ 60% bonus AD) to any targets hit after that, while his shadow's shurikens deal half as much damage. What I'm proposing is that these switch: so that the shadow's shurikens hit harder, while zed's own aren't as oppressive. you could even increase the damage that the shadow dealt beyond simply switching the two, since shadow has a relatively long cooldown. This change would increase his burst while reducing his sustained damage, fiitting with his role as assassin.
I think this change would also fit with his theme and lore: Someone who sacrificed their relationships and honor for the sake of power, a power symbolized by his shadows
