So do Piltovian guns work like a sort of ballista, launching the bullet, cartridge, and propellant all at the enemy? Or was this art done by someone who has never used a gun? Not trying to be rude, but I do think that it's a problem for realism.

BewmBewmVi4 votesthen you've clearly never fired a gun. The casing DOESNT fly out of the barrel. Dark bit of metal on the end? That's the actual bullet. The rest is never fired through the barrel.

BewmBewmVi4 votesBecause it doesn't make sense, even as a magic bullet. see the dark spot in the middle of the end of the cartridge pointing towards us? that's what the firing pin hits to ignite the propellant, firing the bullet. why would a magic bullet have a second firing mechanism, unless it's somehow supposed to fire AGAIN at some point.

But after all it's an honest mistake in my opinion; the artist was tasked with portraiting a flying bullet, it probably thought it would end up looking too much blank showing only the bullet as just a small part of the ammunition and not a whole, so he decided to make this "correction" which brought up this mistake. I would call it's more like a small "easter-egg" similar to Blitzcrank's Q icon, which shows the wrong hand grabbing while extending from the Steam Golem's body.

Maybe Blitzcrank was taking a selfie with the non-firing arm, everything would look backwards in that case. No excuse for the primer, case, and bullet in the picture for the headshot passive icon.

BewmBewmVi3 votesAnd? that doesn't mean they can't be at least somewhat realistic. No gun fires the entire cartridge. The purpose of the cartridge is to hold the propellant, which propels the actual bullet (that little dark metal thing at the end, in the picture) out of the gun.

I could understand a wonky bullet, or a bigger bullet, but why would someone design a 'magic' bullet that looks exactly like a normal bullet, but launched out of the barrel instead of fired?
