Post-Nerf Runeglaive Ezreal

There's a lot of hype around Runeglaive Ezreal mid.

For those who don't know about it, lemme break it down.

> Mid Lane Ezreal with summoner 11 > He brings smite so he can buy a Runeglaive enchantment. > > Runeglaive Proc's on Ezreal's Q, just like any item 3057 item. > BUT Runeglaive also proc's on spell effects, making AP Ezreal really strong, now that he can utilize item 3285, which can't proc off of ezreals Q in a normal basis.

Tl;dr, Runeglaive makes Ezreal's Q proc Luden's, dealing tons of damage.

My question is, even after the nerfs to Runeglaive, making it so it can't proc on spell effects (ludens echo), would it still be wise/safe to play him mid with runeglaive and still buy ludens?

Yes. You want runeglave for the farming ability, the echo proc was never all that important (as you can just use your E if there are no enemies around).

By removing it's ability to proc echo all that really means is you won't accidently waste the echo proc on a minion that ran in front of your Q. It really doesn't reduce your overall damage potential by much.
