Why does Riot keep trivializing any attempt at energy runes being useful?

Can I get a damn IP refund? Those runes were expensive as hell. I was looking forward to a healthier energy pattern with Shen, and I suppose it is, but artificially inflating his energy pool to arbitrarily "balance" it? Can we get some insight on why this happened?

Currently, it just feels like this was a cruel stab at anyone taking the time to invest in improving energy based champs through energy runes.

I could go on with death timer runes or experience+ runes, but come on, this is just rude. If this was intentional, why not remove the runes from the store entirely and refund anyone who bought them, rather than setting us up to knock us down?

because almost every energy champs is in a very good spot.

Also, they are not much worse than mana runes.

One of the drawbacks to energy is supposed to be that you deal with your small pool and manage it with your champion's mechanics, that's why.

Everyone but the new Shen regen stupid fast anyway. they would have to nerf all of their regens.
